I stayed for two nights by car, which I thought was perfect for people who like nature observation. A squirrel 🐿️ is resident. There are also many wild birds, and their chirping will soothe you. Since it was early June, there were no mosquitoes, but it looks like it will be crowded with insects in the summer. The site I used had soft ground, so I gave up on using a tarp. There is a hot spring nearby, and you can take a bath until 9pm and from 7am to 8am. 420 yen, 50 yen discount for JAF members. The morning bath has a great view of the Pacific Ocean and the sunrise.

A little old, but not bad10 minutes from Sanriku Expressway Fudai IC. In is 12:30 and out is 11:00. No reservations. Locations are on a first-come, first-served basis. 2000 yen for auto camping. It was Friday and there was one other group. The site is sandy and the beg can easily enter. Even at this time of year, there are insects during the day, so is there a net? A tarp or tent with a mosquito net is better. The sound of birds chirping feels good. Firewood for bonfires is also sold near the reception, but there's so much wood that it's falling on the site. The toilets flush, and the reception desk, Kurosaki-so, is a five-minute walk away. It feels great to be able to see the Pacific Ocean! The free site is mostly sloped. For families, the only choice is an auto campsite.I don't recommend it to people who don't like the old feel. Depending on the site, the permanent wooden tables and benches may be rotting, so avoid them. So, it's best to go around the area before deciding on a spot.

I stayed here as a family of 4 while car camping. It only costs 2,000 yen per night, and it comes with a table and bench in a flat tent setup space where you can park your car.The kitchen and toilets are well kept and very clean.Although it does not cover all of Tohoku, it may be the best in terms of cost performance. The starry sky is beautiful. You can see the sunrise. I can see the sea.Personally, I think it is the best campsite in Tohoku along with Yamagata Nishihama Campsite. The hot springs can be accessed at Kurosakiso, which is a 1-minute drive from the campsite. It's within walking distance.Kurosakiso has ice cream and sweets, but there are no convenience stores nearby, so I went to a small supermarket called Koshido to buy vegetables, fish, and anything I forgot to buy. It's about 15 minutes by car.

Big campground and cheap, i paid 300¥ for the spot and treated myself with the onsen nearby for an additional 420¥. The view from the onsen was stunning. The campground was clean, with a lot of space ! Perfect to make a stop along the coast 👍🏼

It is said that it will be open all year round this year. During the winter, the on-site toilets and water supply will be unavailable. There is a toilet that can be used in front of the nearby accommodation, but it is only about 5 minutes from the auto site. If it's far away, I think it's faster to go by car than to walk.I think it's a great campsite from spring to fall!
