This is a campground on the Tohoku Town side along Lake Ogawara. It is located on the west side of Lake Ogawara, just opposite Misawa City's ``Ogawara Lakeside Campsite'' on the east side of Lake Ogawara. It is adjacent to Ogawara Lake Park, where there is a lake bathing area, and there is a high-standard campground called ``Ogawara Lake Fureai Village'' next door, which has Kevin House and plot sites, but it is a separate campsite from that.Unlike Fureai Village, you cannot make reservations here, but you have to go directly to the management facility on the day and complete the procedures.Although it is a free site, cars are not allowed. However, there is a public road running behind the site, so once you park on the road and bring your tools in, you can carry your belongings without having to walk very far.The site is in a wooded area, and you can see Lake Ogawara in front of you, and because it faces east, you can see the sunrise from the other side of Lake Ogawara on clear days. There are hot springs and a roadside station nearby, and there are convenience stores, supermarkets, and hardware stores within a short drive, making it a much more convenient location than other campgrounds around Lake Ogawara.Furthermore, there is a police box in front of the roadside station, so you feel safe. However, as I wrote before, there is a public road nearby, and there is a lot of traffic. It depends on the time of year, but since it's close to a US military base, the noise from planes can be quite loud, and on top of that, freight trains can be quite loud on the nearby tracks at night, so even though it's a forest site, it's quite noisy in terms of noise. Also, although it can't be helped because it's a campsite inside the park, people walking along the paved path between Lake Ogawara and the campsite sometimes pass by.When you look at Lake Ogawara from the site, you may see people walking past you or being called out to you.It may be a little different from what you imagine for people who want to enjoy a quiet camping experience in nature. There are three toilets, and the one in the back is honestly dirty, so I can't recommend it.The urinal is Japanese-style, and there are spider webs at the entrance, and when you use the urinal, insects come out. However, the one near the lake bathing area in the foreground is relatively clean, and the restrooms near the administration building are new, Western-style, and have washlets, so we recommend them. When I used it, the headwind from the east was quite strong. When you're on the back of a mountain, there's no obstruction, so if you check the weather forecast and a strong wind blows from the east, it might be better to give up or look for a campsite on the inland side.Still, I think it's a good value for money that you can camp here for just 1,000 yen. It's a little disappointing that the campground is shorter than the surrounding campsites.
