It’s not worth the low price. The room was sooo dingy. The pool doesn’t exist anymore. No windows and felt like a dungeon but the worst part was not being able to get out because of all the stray dogs blocking the road and barking aggressively. I think only 18-20 year old guys who don’t care about anything can handle it. It is rare that I get somewhere and have to leave but booking this one just ended up costing me more in the end because I was scrambling to look for another place in high season. It might be fine for one night if you arrive very late and don’t have to leave your stuff alone. I couldn’t stay because of the insecurity with the other reviews and being a solo traveler and the dogs making it impossible to leave.

I had a deplorable experience in this hostel. The owner offered us an early morning activity, which seemed like a great opportunity, but it turned out to be a ruse to steal money with the help of the housekeeper. When we returned, a significant amount of money was missing, and the owner was not only uncooperative, but also dared to talk to us about "karma" rather than taking responsibility for the theft. The hostel itself is under construction, and the accommodation conditions are unacceptable. The toilets and bathroom are terrible – makeshift fixtures with water spouting in every direction. Hygiene is non-existent with ants and other insects everywhere. The rooms are poorly ventilated, without windows and without air conditioning, making them stuffy and uncomfortable.Additionally, the owner suggested we go see a cockfight, insisting that we participate. He then tried to extract money from us for betting, which was not only immoral but also illegal. The worst part was that he never offered us lockers to secure our belongings, only mentioning their existence after the money was gone. Unacceptable behavior. In short, I absolutely do not recommend this place. It's a tourist trap. Go your way!

The owner tried to scam us. I didn’t stay there but the two guys I met told me it was ok for the price. They booked a car to Ubud for 600k (pretty expensive) with a 300k deposit (crazy to ask that for a ride) and we decided to share the ride and the owner ask us an extra 200k for being 3 instead of two and he was pretty aggressive (kicked le from the yard). So at least you know what to expect !Good luck

Simple, not clean etc BUT simply very good for the price. This is easily doable for 1-2 nights. If you can handle the fact that it's not clean, I can recommend it :)But the landlord is very nice, we played games with him, that was very nice.

I recently stayed at Apollo Hostel and had a very good experience. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the host. They were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and went out of their way to make me feel at home. Their local tips and willingness to help with any queries made my trip much easier and enjoyable. However, the cleaning facilities left much to be desired. The bathrooms and common areas were not as clean as I would have hoped, which I won’t complain for the price. If cleanliness is a top priority for you, this might be a concern. That said, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option with a fantastic host.Just be prepared for less-than-ideal cleaning standards.
