It was my first time staying at one of the Yamakawa Onsen in Kumamoto Prefecture, and the manager's customer service was cheerful and pleasant. I chose this restaurant based on rumors that the food was said to be delicious, and it was indeed delicious. There was also an open-air bath, which was said to be hot, but it didn't bother me once I took a bath. It seems to be a sulfur spring, but I liked it. If you ask me if I'll go againThe answer would be, of course. Although some facilities have not been restored due to the Kumamoto Earthquake, I highly recommend this place.

I stayed for 2 days and 1 night with a friend. The rice is delicious. The room... (I'll leave it to your imagination.)The staff at the building informed us that there would be insects in the summer, but there were more insects than I expected. There are all kinds of insecticides in the room. There is a large public bath and a room bath, but both are outside, so I wouldn't take my time in them because I was worried about insects. The room reminded me of Shonen Nature's house. You'll understand if you go there. It was a room that I would definitely not recommend to my close friends. There are also outlets in some inconvenient places, so it might be a good idea to bring a long one with you.

A car here (a black Noah or a boxy) drove me roughly before😱😵‍💫While driving on the Green Road in Oguni Town at about 65 km, I was forced to overtake him even though I couldn't see what was ahead before the right curve. I was stunned 🫨I wondered how someone could drive so recklessly even though they had the name of an inn on the back of their car, so I asked the local police station to take a look at the driving record and ask for guidance. When I talked to a local friend of mine about this, he told me that the previous inn had gone up for sale, and someone from South Korea or China had bought it and was running it. I agree with such reckless driving! After reading other people's reviews, I felt that they lacked the kind of attention to detail that Japanese people do😰

I went last year. I get the impression that most of the customers are foreigners. It's a little-known spot, and the appeal is that each room comes with an open-air bath. For dinner, you can enjoy hearth-style cuisine in a stylish atmosphere. For breakfast, you can enjoy Japanese morning fare such as miso soup and grilled fish while looking out at the nearby mountains. In my case, I was unlucky to be in a group of foreigners with children, and I also caught an epidemic, and even after I returned home, I encountered a lot of trouble. The atmosphere was very nice, but the customer base wasn't that great, so unfortunately I won't be returning...

Staying in early June, the sun is a bit strong but the mountains are very coolThe room is very clean. The privacy of the hot spring in the room is good. After dinner, the bed has been made when I returned to the room. The public pool is open until 9pm. I just finished my dinner and wandered there. No one was there. You can enjoy the large bath to yourself😆You can see the stars in the parking lot outside at night. There are so many stars. It is a stunning view that can only be seen in the deep mountains. The staff are very kind. Overall I feel goodIt is also recommended for foreigners who can speak Japanese to stay (it will be more convenient if they can communicate😅)Dinner included cold somen noodles, robata grill, horse meat sashimi, beef dishes, etc. At the end of the meal, the meal was at a perfect pace with soup and rice.Breakfast is a Japanese-style breakfast made with local ingredients. The overall seasoning is just right. The spicy lotus root is surprisingly delicious. The coffee after the meal is very pleasant with the mountain view.

Naturally flowing from the sourceIt's really the bestI'm sure there are people who don't like the food, but it's fun to have an inn like this. Please try it at least once.

All rooms are separated so you can spend a relaxing time without coming into contact with other people. We met around 12 guests in total during dinner and breakfast, and since the meal times were fixed, it was a great time to see everyone having fun. I was a couple in my 20s, but the other customers were couples of various ages.Above all, the rice was extremely delicious. Not only was it possible to fully enjoy Kumamoto, but I think the quality of each meal was high. There were probably only two staff members, and it was good that the same person could handle everything from check-in, room guidance, meal guidance, and check-out.There is an open-air bath in the room and a large public bath.Even if I went to the public bath before dinner, I could relax and enjoy the private bath.
