Thank you for staying with my family for 3 nights.It was a room with a small garden, but the room itself was spacious, and there was also a large verandah, where I could relax and drink beer.The food was delicious and had a different flavor each day. There were also plates for children, which was nice because they weren't like the usual children's plates.Also, everyone at the inn was very attentive and made me feel comfortable. It wasn't too much interference, nor was it neglect.The location is also a good base for visiting Aso, Beppu, and nearby Kurokawa Onsen.

We stayed in a room with a very nice private garden. Excellent bedding gave us sweet dreams. Onsen is good, too. Anywhere of the hotel is infused with a pleasant scent of wood. Exquisite food. A very stylish and comfortable hidden place that won't disappoint you. Thank you for the warm hospitality of all the nice ladies working there.

It is located in a valley a little far from Kurokawa Onsen.It is a relaxing space that gives you a feeling of time slipping and is recommended for those who are tired of the worldly world.The staff are friendly and the food is delicious.All rooms are cottage-style and you can spend a relaxing time. However, you have to go back down the aisle to eat, so in winter, wear warm clothing.

Anyway, hot springs are the best. An elderly person who was present at the open-air bath emphasized that the quality of the spring water here was very good, and I was convinced.The staff were polite and even though I arrived a little early, they were able to accommodate me. thank you very much.I was very satisfied before the renovation, but this is a hot spring inn that I will want to visit again and again.

A Japanese hot spring hotel that I definitely want to visit again❤️The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and courteous and made you feel at home and comfortable. The breakfast was rich and delicious. It was a bit regretful that we did not book dinner on our first visit because we were not sure about our arrival time.It is about a 5-minute drive from Kurokawa Hot Spring Street. It is recommended to drive here and check in early to enjoy it.But because it is a mountain road, if you are not driving by yourself, remember to book a hotel pick-up. When we were lost in the difficulty of hailing a taxi and not knowing whether the bus would come, an enthusiastic passerby passed by and offered to take us up the mountain. He kindly declined the cookies we offered. Such enthusiasm made us deeply impressed by the kindness of Kyushu people, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her help.

Hot springs are the best.This is an inn where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend time relaxing and freeing your mind and body. The food looked beautiful and was delicious. I think the amount was thought out by someone who knows how much is enough, not too much, not too little. What impressed me most was the warm consideration of the staff. If you're looking forward to the fall foliage season or snow falling, you'll still be able to experience a quaint inn.

Place and service went way beyond my expectations.Stayed for 1 night on 20th Oct 2023 in room 06 - Kaede.Hotel vibe- Located deep in the mountains. Hotel emphasizes a lot on privacy as shown by the private dining booth and large room with private zen garden. Entrance to your room is also delicately shielded so others can’t peek in. Place is perfect for couple and family seeking tranquility away from the buzzing city life.Service- We were mainly assisted by staff Nada (sorry if spelt wrongly – shouldered-length hair girl from Fukuoka) and were amazed by her service. She gave us a tour of the hotel + our room before settling down. And during mealtime it was a delight to have casual conversation with her.Overall- Regretfully Was Intending to stay for 2 nights however were only able to book for 1 night. Will definitely comeback to this hotel if im visiting this part of Japan again.

Huajianan Shirakawa Hot Spring HotelA brand hotel under the Japanese Huamei Group. There are only 9 independent suite hot spring rooms. It is divided into new building and old building. Originally, the old building had only four rooms. After the Kumamoto typhoon in 2016, some buildings were damaged. Five suites in new construction.For a hot spring hotel, the 9 rooms are really mini and simple. Japan, like the rest of the world, is facing a severe labor shortage problem.We saw only about 4-5 service personnel on duty.There is its own parking lot opposite the hotel. If there is a person with mobility difficulties, if you report it to the hotel, they will also arrange to park nearby the door, which is considered friendly.Japanese-style old houses and Japanese-style gardens are very popular. Dinner is kaiseki cuisine. Pair it with a bottle of Japanese sake. Breakfast is a set menu. Both meals were delicious. The room has its own garden view. It is designed to imitate tatami. The most special thing is that there is a wall that can project Internet channels, which is a bonus for listening to music or doing aerobic exercise.One drawback is that the public hot spring pool outside does not provide supplies and drinking water. The most basic bath towels and towels are not available. There is only one face washer. Looks very humble. It's okay if you bring your supplies from the room. But I didn't get any tips or room instructions.Drinking water was not provided, only a coin-operated drink machine outside. It’s useless if you don’t bring any money😀. This kind of design and provision is not delicate enough and considerate enough.Everything else is fine.

This is my second repeat. Although it is expensive, it is a wonderful accommodation that is well worth the price. This time I ate in my room. It was very delicious. When I returned to the living room midway through the meal due to fatigue from traveling, I was impressed by the hospitality of the restaurant, which placed the rest of the course in my room. This may be normal for this inn, but there are very few inns that offer such hospitality, so I was very happy.The quality of the hot springs is good, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable.This is a ryokan that makes you want to live in a house like this...and not want to leave after one day.I will definitely repeat it again. thank you.

Unlike Kurokawa and Yufuin, Shirakawa Onsenkyo is located in a quiet mountain village where you can visit incognito, and it has a relaxing atmosphere.Kashoan has very spacious rooms and indoor baths, as well as a room for indoor dining, and the space is about as spacious as a 3LDK in an apartment.The food was also polite and delicious.On that day, the young sisters were mainly serving customers, and they had fun conversations and were polite. It was a fun trip.*Some photos of the dishes are included. *I think it would be good for family anniversaries, etc.I felt that the price was about 30% more reasonable than Kurokawa or Yufuin.

I used it on a trip from Hokkaido.Due to a canceled flight that day, we had to fly from Kumamoto to Fukuoka in a hurry, and due to the heavy fog, we were unable to move by car, so we finally arrived at the hotel at 9pm, exhausted as a whole.Even though it was already past dinner time, the woman who helped us by opening the venue for us and putting our drinks in the refrigerator even though the shops were closed. We are very grateful to the staff for their consideration.We would like to use you again.

The entire inn and room were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was nice to have a projector and be able to relax in the bath in the room.However, some of the food was cold and there were no explanations, so the taste was reduced by half. Above all, the customer service of the staff was not good. There was no sense of hospitality at all, and there were not many guests staying that day, so I felt like I wanted to finish work early.I think I had high expectations given the high price, but it was a shame because the room was good.

I visited in September. It was a very satisfying inn. The room features a beautiful garden where you can enjoy the view. There are two washbasins in the room, so you can spend a comfortable time even if you are traveling with your family. The food was the best of any hotel I've ever been to. The main dish, lava grilled red beef, was excellent. The ingredients seemed to be locally sourced. This is one of the inns I would like to visit again.
