A Zen temple of the Rinzai sect, which is rare in the Kanto region. When the children heard that they would be staying at a temple, they were reluctant, but their favorite memory of the trip was staying at a temple.Daitaiji's plumbing and toilets have been renovated, and each room has an air conditioner, so women and elementary school students can stay here without stress. Adults can enjoy relaxing things at the temple, such as zazen meditation, morning porridge, and sutra copying. Children can play in the river, which can be accessed in 3 minutes from the accommodation room. There is an outdoor sauna by the river, which I would like to try next time. . .I was able to experience a picturesque summer vacation in the countryside. The chief priest is in his 40s and is a good conversationalist. The child asked [Is there a grave? ] I asked, but there was something in the back that I couldn't see. As long as you are staying overnight, you won't be able to see it, so it's not scary. It was great to be able to visit the whale museum within a 10-minute drive and experience sea activities such as sea kayaking. The beach and river are gravel, so water shoes are a must. The water level in the river had increased on the second day, so I think it's a good idea for children to bring life jackets.
