I spent my time in a 100-year-old old private house feeling so relaxed that I forgot the passage of time even if I didn't do anything.

I stayed here when I went to Ogijima with a friend. All accommodation buildings have been renovated, and each space is stylish and comfortable. Although it was early summer, there was a large air conditioner, so I was able to stay comfortably from morning until night. I slept in the bed on the first floor, and the mattress was so comfortable that I slept better than at home.♩ I talked with the owner, took a walk, and felt nostalgic and comfortable, like staying at a nice relative's house. You can spend time. .

Above all, the people involved with the inn were very personable, welcomed me warmly, and I enjoyed talking with them. While enjoying the retro old folk house and the beautiful scenery of Ogijima, the guest room was stylish, new and clean from the entrance to the bedroom to the water area, so I was able to relax.Work in a Japanese-style room that has been preserved in an old private house, enjoy the view from the window, or take a walk. I had a relaxing time!

I was able to spend a relaxing time in a clean old private house that was stylish yet friendly. The view from the window was very beautiful. The food was so delicious that I asked him, "Where did you learn to cook?"Not only the owner, but also the books, comics, and magazines that were on display were interesting.

The inn, which is a renovated old private house, was very comfortable and the warm atmosphere of the owner made it very relaxing. All of the Japanese-style dishes made with a lot of island ingredients were exquisite, and I couldn't help but eat to my fill. The view of the sea from the window and the nature of the island that I felt while walking gave me a sense of peace that was completely different from the city. Staying at this inn was a relaxing time. I would definitely like to visit again.

Wanted to visit Ogijima because of Summer Pockets, thankfully Mr. Fukui had an Airbnb listing during the off season when the other was temporarily closed, and another was women only. The actual listing was beautiful, a large space attached to where Mr. Fukui was living, with significantly more amenities than I expected at a fairly old fashioned island. Mr. Fukui took great care of the space and while parts look old, it's very stylish and has an incredible view of the harbor.I was offered a dinner by Mr. Fukui that I initially thought was pricey, but was easily worth every cent. The inns on this island all learned their preparation from a washoku master, and the presentation was jaw dropping. I had been to several Michelin restaurants prior to this in Japan and his dinner seemed at quite a surprisingly high bar.Mr. Fukui was very kind and knowledgeable about the island - he was born on the island and he is part of the tourism association run by some of the islanders. Recommended!
