I would put 3* if not the price of ¥150k per night. Frankly speaking I am didnt get all this hype around Naoshima. Very limited modern art objects… super small museums with tiny amount of art… French would be insulted with the food they serve for dinner… better it would be Japanese cuisine… also very small sized buses for hotel guests - we literally had to squeeze into it with all our luggage… almost got late to the ferry.. very average experience as a whole… also there is no access to the Oval where all the things started which is simply insulting!!!

Benesse House Beach Building is a relatively spacious room.It is suitable for families of 3 or more people, or for those who want to relax in a spacious room.It's close to the coastline, so you can enjoy the sound of the waves.A walk along the beach early in the morning is very soothing.

Good location on Naoshima Island, great garden and good views. The rooms are very average, the second star for the good view. The hype around Naoshima seems to have gone to the hotel management's head. Definitely no four star service at the front desk. You feel as if you are being processed in a municipal registration office. No servicing the client no helping to solve problems. The French would get insulted to call the food they serve at the Terrace Restaurant, French. Don't stay here. Go to any of the hotels close to this one and come and use the beautiful garden of Benesse House Beach.

The sea was right in front of me and the view was amazing!It was a very relaxing time as I could hear the sound of the waves all the time.It takes less than 10 minutes by car from Miyanoura Port.The restaurant was right next door and was very nice.I want to come again!

I stayed in a corner room on the second floor. Anyway, the view of the Seto Inland Sea from the room is amazing! The room was large, and there were many ways to enjoy it, such as relaxing on the sofa, working on the computer at the desk, and relaxingly drinking coffee on the balcony. The path from the front desk to the room is art, and the inside of the room is too much to see. I was able to experience something out of the ordinary and was very satisfied. Recommended!

I stayed there several times before the coronavirus outbreak, and this time, after the coronavirus outbreak, I stayed for two consecutive nights.I stayed on the first floor of the beach.It's spacious and you can spend your time looking out at the sea.I don't know if it's because the walls are thin, but I can hear the noise from my neighbors and those above me.There is no elevator, so if you are traveling for a long time with large suitcases, it will be difficult to carry your luggage, but they seem to be working quickly to install an elevator.Please note that you may have to carry your luggage to the front desk by yourself during check-in and check-out.During your stay, you can stroll around the grounds and spend some relaxing time surrounded by art.
