Located in a residential area along the railroad tracks. There are not many street lights and visibility is poor at night. The street in front of the guesthouse is barely wide enough for one car to pass. As I only drive occasionally, I didn't have the skills to safely get into the parking lot directly attached to the guest house, so I rang the intercom, asked the owner to guide me, and parked the car in the parking lot just across the railroad tracks. I'm glad that it comes with a parking lot for around 3,000 yen. It was interesting to see the many handmade instructions and equipment. There are two cats. If you don't take a chance and close the door immediately, they will come in. It was funny how when I closed the bathroom door to take a shower, he forced his way through the bathroom while grunting. It's a normal house, so there is some sound leakage and it's old, but I was able to sleep peacefully on the warm futon.

Thank you for taking care of my family of three. I had a hard time locating the parking lot. It would be helpful if you could check it on Google View in advance. The air conditioner worked well and we had a very comfortable stay. There is no TV, so family conversations are especially enjoyable, and at night, you can see some fireworks from the window, and the quaint townscape is soothing. I rented a bicycle and surrendered to the slow flow. What made my family happy most of all was the cat. He was very friendly and wanted to interact with him more if possible. We may be able to help you again. Thank you for your continued support.

It's already been more than three months since I've been there. It can be a little noisy because the railway passes right next to it.The owner was nice and had a cute cat. Someone kept knocking on the door, so when someone answered, the cat whined to open the door.I opened it and it left a picture of me falling asleep on my lap.Udon, Megijima, Ogijima, Naoshima, etc. remain as one of the most enjoyable memories of my 48-day long trip to Japan. This is an area I want to visit again someday when I have time.

I stayed at 「Guesthouse Yashima」 for 4 nights because I wanted to see Takamatsu. The guesthouse is close to Yashima station and is near mount Yashima, where you can visit Shikoku Mura, Waraya (a famous sanuki udon restaurant) and some temples. The mountain has an observatory deck and Aquarium. The owners are very kind and let you borrow a bike for free, which is very convenient for getting around in Takamatsu. Although the center of the city is a little far.Laundry is 100yen per usage, tea and water is free, internet is good. There is also a shower. The room I stayed in had a tall bed with a small ladder to access it. There was a work table, chair, couch (which doubles as a ground bed) and a balcony. You can hear the train going by but its not an unpleasant sound and didn’t bother me.If you are tall, watch out for the doors, I bumped my head a few times.Overall, I definitely recommend this guesthouse if you want the full experience of Japan.

I visited with a hands-on potter's wheel experience. I think it's rare to be able to experience it at night. It's about 10 minutes from Furutakamatsu on the Shido Line, so access was not bad. It was nighttime so I was scared of the road with no street lights, but the owner welcomed me as he told me it was a difficult place to find.I looked it up on Google and knew there was a cat, but since it was an experience, I couldn't meet it. The fur was so fluffy that I felt like I had just met a cat.The experience itself was simple and easy, and the detailed instructions made it very easy and fun!I made it without taking anything, so it took less than an hour. You can choose the color of the clay itself and the color of the glaze, and you can choose different colors for the inside and outside! I'm looking forward to seeing it completed. It has been baking for a month, so I added a photo! You can choose to receive it by mail or pick it up, but they also accommodated late hours, so I was able to pick it up after work.Next time I'll go with a friend!
