I love this place and highly recommend it. Akayo gave us the most welcoming greet. Then presented the Japanese dinner. So yummy. The onion was so sweet. Her mandarin helped our communication. What’s more? The room is very spacious for we 4 persons.I also remembered their lovely cat and dog.In the morning, we had a fusion breakfast. There were so many local food and made it very fresh.Though no shower room in the house, Akayo recommended a fab onsen to us which had both indoor and outdoor pool in reasonable price.

It was a warm and wonderful inn where the hospitality of the wife, Ayako, and the heartfelt hospitality of the husband, who I was unable to meet, was felt throughout.Immediately after making the reservation, we received an email confirming the reservation, along with detailed information about tourist attractions (sunset time, recommended Sanuki udon restaurants, parking lot reservation information only during the Obon season, etc.), which was very helpful. We received detailed guidance. Ayako-san was so kind that I was looking forward to meeting her even before I visited, and she was kind enough to answer all my questions afterwards. He asked us in advance about the sightseeing spots we were going to visit, and on the day of the tour, he gave us information on the tourist spots' business hours and crowds over the phone, and guided us smoothly even though we were ignorant tourists. Thanks to Ayako-san's detailed information, we were able to take wonderful photos at Chichibugahama, which we were looking forward to!Even though I had a problem where I lost my cell phone on the beach, they were kind to me, and even though I couldn't check in at the scheduled time and had dinner late, they didn't make any unpleasant faces and took care of me even though it was late. We were able to learn about his personality through a variety of stories, including explanations of his cuisine, the history of the neighborhood, and the history of his life as an immigrant. I was impressed by how delicious and hearty the dishes were, all homemade. Rice cooked in a pot, miso soup made with homemade miso, and presents of Thai sashimi caught by my husband... it really filled my stomach and my heart.I didn't have a bath so I went to a nearby public bath, but it was also a retro Showa style public bath that really got me excited!Everything about Taiyo Toumi was a wonderful inn.The five of us decided that we would like to visit Taiyo Toumi again as a goal for our next trip! I would like to use this as a base to plan another trip to Shikoku.I'm really thankful to you.

The place is in good condition, it's nice and private, there is great nature and onsens nearby. The host is very kind, friendly and speaks English well. She prepares tasty, authentic and home cooked meals, gives great suggestions for activities and logistics to make the most of the stay in the location, and also offers a ride here and there. We couldn't have asked for more, and would definitely recommend it and come back.

I’ve marked this place to stay there again whenever I’m in the area. Loved every single part of the stay and the interaction with very kind host Ayako san! Oh, and cute woofie gentleman Haku chan :) I’m always interested to stay local. This experience has definitely highlight of all my trips within Japan. Ayako san is very knowledgeable about the local places of interests, she also makes delicious homemade food. Having lived in the bustling city of Tokyo for 20 years, Ayako san came to Kagawa about six years ago, I can totally tell she has developed her love and passion for the place. I can only wish the very best to her and her family in this beautiful village! Her guesthouse is within walking distance to Chichibugahama beach. A bus stop is right in front of her house. On the other side, you can see farmland. Rooms are spacious and very welcoming. She has a nice terrace for sunset or star gazing at night :) nearby, you can either enjoy sento or Onsen. I was grateful that Ayako san helped me to get there.Ayako san speaks English and also Chinese. I’m so impressed by her talent!I’d really love to return soon again. I heard next month will be the season for loquat. Many thanks Ayako san for your great hospitality showcasing the beautiful Kagawa! See you soon again! :)
