Revisit in September 2024This time, on a weekday holiday, I tried using the sea side of the wooden building on the 2nd floor with no bath. The price is just over 10,000 yen including two meals using an online discount coupon.I think the view here was better than the last time I went to the sea side without a bath in the main building.Although it is old, the interior is clean and has a retro feel. However, the hallway on the second floor is smudged, and earthquake resistance would be difficult. It's a little scary to think about an earthquake. The hot springs are still pleasant with a light sulfur smell.Last time, I noticed that the sulfur odor was stronger or weaker depending on how long I soaked in the water, but I think the sulfur odor gets stronger when the hot spring water is poured. Is the steamed steamed meat and curry meat lamb? It may have been a cost reduction measure, but it smelled bad. The tempura batter was thick and not good. The tuna is probably albacore? It's probably the same quality as sashimi sold at the supermarket.Well, I can understand this price with two meals included. Desserts were plentiful, and the French toast in the morning was delicious.Although the quality of the food is reasonable, check-out is at 12:00, so you can enjoy the hot springs slowly in the morning, and there are very few inns where you can enjoy the sulfur-scented free-flowing hot springs by the seaside at a reasonable price even if you stay alone. There was also a staff member who asked us to stop and bow. It's quite difficult, but it feels good if everyone has a sense of unity.Perfect for refreshing your mind and body! I will repeat it again.First use in July 2024The sulfur-scented hot springs are the best!Used by 1 person on weekdays. Reservations can be made on the direct sales website for just over 9,000 yen including two meals on weekdays.◇RoomBasic 8 tatami Japanese style room without bath on the 3rd floor. A room with a sea view, you can see the fishing port and Hotel Urashima on the opposite shore. Rooms with sea views are nice even though they are in the bay.The building is old, but you can see the braced columns and it appears to have been earthquake-reinforced, and the hallways, walls, and carpets have been beautifully replaced, and the visible areas have been thoroughly renovated. The room had new wallpaper and tatami mats, was well-cleaned, and the mattress was thick and very comfortable, rather than the rice cracker futons you often find in cheap hotels.◇Hot springs, bathsShiosai no Yu (Shiosai no Yu is for men at night)The water is said to be flowing directly from the source, and although it doesn't feel very salty or slimy, the sulfur scent is very pleasant and the hot water is gentle.◇Indoor bathThe comfortable number of users is about 7 to 8 people, and there are only 6 washing areas, which is a bit small. For some reason, when I entered the bath late at night, I felt the strongest smell of sulfur out of all the baths.◇Open-air bath①Located at the back of the indoor bath, you can see the Inland Sea below. The comfortable number of users here is about 7 to 8 people. There are three comfortable chairs. The open-air bath facing the sea is very pleasant, and the atmosphere is great with the sound of the small boat's engine, the chirps of the pyhyoro and the black kite, the sound of rippling waves, the scent of the sea, and the sulfur smell of the hot springs. After all, seaside hot springs are the best.◇Open-air bath②This garden-style open-air bath is quite spacious and can easily accommodate more than 10 people. However, there are only three washrooms. It was a little far away and was empty, probably because no one noticed. For some reason, there isn't much of a sulfur smell.◇Mizan no Yu (Morning bath available. Men's and women's baths are switched at night)Both the indoor bath and the garden open-air bath are roughly the same as Shiosai-no-Yu, and there is no open-air bath facing the sea. For some reason, the garden open-air bath also had a faint smell of sulfur.◇Private bath(Free admission after midnight and in the morning)It's on the closed side, which is nice. It was a little after 9am, and I was completely reserved, blindfolded, but the open bath facing the ocean was small but comfortable. The comfortable number of users is about 3 to 4 people. There are versions for men and women. The baths can be crowded on days before holidays, but this time it wasn't too crowded on a weekday. With so many baths, I don't think there's any need for a guest room with an open-air bath. Especially after 10pm, it is reserved. I ended up soaking in the water for over 4 hours in the evening, night, and morning. The infinity open-air bath at Shirahama Senjojiki, where you can see the horizon of the Pacific Ocean, is also good, but this bath was just as pleasant.◇OthersAlthough I am not personally interested, there is also a bedrock bath and sauna. There is also cold water in the changing room and tea service near the exit.◇Dinner buffetThere was some steamed pork belly and shrimp, but I was disappointed that there was no tuna steak or grilled cheek meat that I had expected. The freshly fried shrimp tempura was delicious. The tuna sashimi and sushi are albacore, but it's normal. Other items include various fried foods, Wakayama ramen style, yakisoba, curry meat, and other items typical of a pleasant resort. The desserts were plentiful, and the warm steamed pudding and ice cream were delicious. Regardless of the quality, my stomach is full. Considering the cost of accommodation, it cannot be called luxurious.◇BreakfastThe mackerel and sea bream grilled at your seat, the pickled tuna bowl, the French toast, and the milk were all delicious. Although the variety was small, it was sufficient and delicious. If you check in early, a room with a sea view will definitely feel good. The sulfur-scented free-flowing hot springs are of excellent quality, which is hard to find in the Kansai region, and the great thing about Fun Resort is that you can stay there at a reasonable price even if you are alone. The quality of the dinner is reasonable, but for this price, it's the best value for money, and for hot spring lovers, this is a more relaxing and relaxing option than Senjojiki in Shirahama. I really liked it. Repeat is confirmed.
