We spent 5 nights in this guesthouse.Of course the room was a bit small for the three of us, but I'm also used to German standards, which are rare in Japan. But that wasn't a problem for us, as there is a nice common room that we used in the evenings after the excursions to eat, plan and play. The onsen area is also great for relaxing.I would like to dedicate a few words to the innkeeper. He runs the guesthouse with a lot of passion, whether it's the breakfast, tips for excursions and restaurants or simply the decoration. The guest is definitely the focus. We felt very comfortable, almost at home.I can only recommend anyone who doesn't have to live in huge luxury to stay here.I won't forget my stay there. Thank you

First of all, I would like to say that I do not recommend it at all. I can't help but wonder why this place has such high ratings.Upon arrival, a small whiteboard like the one shown in the image will explain the opening times for the baths and lounge. At this point, I immediately feel like I've failed. Not the time of day, but this whiteboard. The rooms are small and cheaply constructed. The open-air bath was nice, but time was divided between men and women, so you couldn't use it freely, and it was rather small. There are some pensions in my neighborhood that sell what looks like open-air baths, so it's not at all unusual.Even though it was high season in early August and it was a Saturday and Sunday, the only other guests besides us (with two people) were two Japanese people and three French people. Honestly, I agree with that. According to the owner, it will also be used as a hostel for high school students on school trips. This is within the acceptable range for a student training camp. The owner was very friendly and talked to me about everything from his past to his hobbies. Even taking that into consideration, I still wonder if there are pensions like this today. The breakfast was just like the photos posted by other people, and it was a disappointing amount for high school students on a school trip. What surprised me most was the price. I made a reservation on a certain travel site, but a service fee was charged separately at the site. Surprised, I checked the reservation site and found that this inn was the only one that said in small print (tax included and charges not included).I've made more than 30 reservations on this site so far, and when I look at my past reservation history, all of the inns say (tax and service included). It's my fault for missing it, so of course I won't complain. With this, a 10% service charge will be charged, and in a location at the far end of a pension village that is impossible to walk from the station, this cheap construction, including a small breakfast plate, will cost well over 40,000 yen (for 2 people) for 1 night and 2 days. , now it's a rip-off.In a sense, it was a surprisingly refreshing experience, realizing that such inns still exist in Japan.

The open-air bath and the owner were all nice, but the room was locked at 10pm, so even if I went out to play, I couldn't relax because I was worried about the time I would get home.I think it would be quite difficult, but as someone who came from outside the prefecture, I wanted to explore a city I have never been to at night (T.T)

I really loved the place! Sadly I couldn't stay any longer. I came really late in the evening and was welcomed with open arms. I would definitely stay again when possible!

There is no TV in the room, so you can spend a quiet time.On the contrary, I felt that I didn't need a TV.The bath is exceptional. The bathing time is short due to the men and women taking turns, but it is clean and fulfilling with an open-air bath and an indoor bath. The quality of the water may have been good, but after taking a bath, my body felt warm and I was able to relieve my fatigue and relax. The owner is very personable and makes up for the inconvenience of the facilities, and I appreciate the detailed services such as a simple midnight snack.Seafood grilled in the garden can be made by reservation and you can bring your own ingredients.I can speak Chinese and we also had a conversation in English. It is very reliable at tourist destinations.
