I contacted Kazu - the owner of this lovely homestay at 5 in the morning. Surprisingly he replied in a second lol.I have to say Fujiyoshida is one of the best town I’ve been to in Japan. The Fuji-san view is amazing and the town is super lovely.Kazu was a cool person, he made dinner and breakfast for me and my husband. His food was delicious. I was fetlag and I couldn’t spend more time in his place since our schedule was tight, but Kazztel should be a yes right away.Kazu’s house was super clean and neat, really comfy. I was so envy with him the whole time since he could live every day in a pretty place like this.He also let us ride the bicycles around the town without no extra fee.Pros:- Owner are super friendly and supported- House is cute, really clean and neat- Owner offers dinner (with bailey tea!) and breakfast- English friendly- 2 minutes walk from Fujisan station- Quiet neighbor- Room has Fuji-san view- Owner offers bicycles- Have kotatsu! Super comfy for a rainy day- Have bathtub and washing machineHereby not the cons, it’s just something you should know:- The house was next to a small graveyard, but trust me the graveyard look so peaceful! I was terrifying whenever I pass a graveyard, but I dont even feel anything!- Check in at 3pm since owner has work. By the way if you wanna left your luggages after check out time, the owner would not mind!

The place is just prefect to visit Mount Fuji area, but the owner is the best part of the stay. He is very kind and friendly. I would definitely come back again

Kazztel, what an experience. We are so lucky to have found his place! Not only was it super conveniently located (just 2 min walk from Mt Fuji station), it was a really nice, spacious, and clean home. Kaz greeted us with homemade dinner after our long journey up to Fujikawaguchiko. He made us homemade Nikujaga and rice. My husband and I agreed it was the best stew we ever had, no exaggeration. We shared a few nice beers with Kaz and chatted/attempted to play a little on his keyboard before heading to bed. He’s such a friendly guy.We had a huge tatami room to ourselves made up with tatami beds on the floor(very authentic experience for us as American tourists) which were very clean and comfortable. We even were provided pajamas. Then there was the view, which was the best part. We woke up early around 4-5am to beautiful views of Fuji when the clouds parted! It was magnificent.When we got up for the day Kaz had also offered to make us breakfast which was again delicious; salmon, rice, homemade miso, and a Japanese style omelet. While we were packing up our stuff to head out and begin our hike of Mount Fuji, Kaz actually made us a bunch of Onigiri for our trip. It was extremely thoughtful and they were so nice to have on our journey up the mountain. He even went above and beyond to walk with us to the station and assist us in buying the correct bus tickets to get to 5th station.Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a place to stay before or after hiking Fuji-San or just as a place to stay to explore Fujikawaguchiko. A lovely home in a great location. Thanks for the awesome hospitality Kaz! We will be back!

Kazztel was booked bc I needed a smoke-free place to stay. Kazuyoshi is an amazing host! We got delayed with the trains so our arrival was past 10PM. Guess who came to meet us by the train station? Kazu! Guess who cooked for us some amazing dinners and breakfasts? Kazu! Guess who made musubis because he knew we were hiking Mt. Fuji? Yes, it was Kazu! The home is immaculate! It's a newer construction, so everything was spot on perfect. The home was roomy and very comfortable. Kazuyoshi, mahalo nui loa for your hospitality!

Kazu san ,he is a great helpful host. With his kind-heart and joyful personality i can guarantee that you will get a superb experience while you stay in his home; such as cooking , japanese traditional dresses etc. The location is very great as well just like 3 mins from Fujisan station by walking. Hopefully for my next trip i can get a warm welcome from Kazusan again. またお邪魔に行きます。宜しくお願いします

It’s great location. It takes a few min from station by walk. A house is clean and mordant Japanese style . You can have experience of Japanese culture. There are Japanese sword, kimono and tatami etc. If you hope more than just sleeping in hotel, I definitely recommend you to chose this house and nice host.

Where to begin? Our stay at Kazuyoshi lovely home will be kept in our most cherished memories. We felt truly welcomed and had an amazing experience - the comfort of the house, the spectacular meals Kazuyoshi prepared for us, all the good energy that is felt in the house. One can easily relax here: super clean, beautiful house with Japanese details, awesome architecture, super comfortable in all means. The house is bigger and even more beautiful than the photos shown. Totally recommend for travelers from all ages. If you’re visit here Japan make sure you stop by Kazuyoshi place. Thank you, my friend!
