I was soothed by the view of the trees from the private open-air bath, and my skin also became smooth. The food was delicious, including seared venison and salt-grilled sweetfish.Recommended for relaxing and doing nothing.

This is an ancient ryokan where many things are still stuck in the past. Large room consisting of two rooms with en-suite bathroom. I overlook the small river that flows next to the house. …

After reading Sawako Ariyoshi's Hidakagawa, I wanted to stay at the historic Kamigoten where the teacher also stayed, so my mother and I visited there. In addition, since I was a paper driver, I took a limited express train to Kii-Tanabe Station and then a Ryujin bus. The bus climbed the mountain in a quite thrilling way, and the scenery was worth seeing! It was quite shaky and I got pretty drunk, but I had to stop at a supermarket for a while due to time adjustments, so I thought I could handle it.Since we visited during the off-season in January, we were the only guests staying, so we were able to enjoy the private open-air bath and the indoor bath as much as we wanted. Since it was winter, I was worried about the cold, so I chose the new building. It is very clean and equipped with a kotatsu (Japanese kotatsu), toilet, and sink.As expected, it is said to be one of Japan's top three beauty hot springs, so not only my skin but also my hair felt smoother😄✨LOLEach meal was served in a nice bowl and was very delicious. The homemade plum wine was also delicious. It's inconvenient if you don't have a car, but it's a nice inn where you can relax while taking a bath, so I'd like to come back in the spring and during the autumn leaves season.

It was good here.As you can see from the pictures on the internet, the exterior looks quite old, and it looks like a tatami room. However, the rooms have proper commercial-grade air conditioning, and the toilets also have hot water. The morning and evening meals were served in the room and had a wide variety of items, which was great.Customer service is also homely. And above all, hot springs. It was slippery, nicely hot, and wonderful. So, although I didn't want it to be too crowded, it was an inn that I would like to visit again.

The hot springs are very good. Just by using it, your skin will become smooth. It will be smooth. You don't have to make a reservation for the open-air bath, but you can use it if it's available. Since it was summer and it was hot, everyone was using it for a short time and the rotation was good.I stayed in the main building Matsu no Ma. An old-fashioned room with sliding doors and no entrance. The key can be locked from inside. It had been a long time since I had eaten in my room, and the landlady came to greet me. Mr. Nakai was a veteran and elderly man, but he used to go up and down the stairs between the first and second floors. Thank you for your hard work. Mr. Nakai was also responsible for laying out the futons. Thank you very much for your helpIt's an old building, so there's no toilet or bath, but it's a nice room. You can feel a different atmosphere compared to modern inns. The food is simple, but the Kumano beef is the best! The salt-grilled sweetfish and deer roe were also delicious. We had breakfast in the large hall. I got bitten by a horsefly, but it was a memorable experience at a mountain inn. There was a gecko stuck to the window of my room, and I was calming down.Thank you for all your help. It was very good.

An unforgettable experience. The food was wonderful, both the indoors and outdoors bath was amazing, the rooms and the futons were comfortable, and most importantly, the service provided was incredible. The grandma working there took care of us the moment we stepped off the bus station until we got onto the bus to leave. We also passed by breathtaking scenery and nature during the bus ride there. Definitely a trip worth experiencing at least once in a lifetime. The pictures I took doesn’t do the scenery and the experience enough justice.

I like the quality of the hot springs and have visited here several times, but this was my first time staying there for the first three days of the New Year. There wasn't much snow this year, and there was only powder snow for a moment in the morning, but it was still a beautiful experience. We also had Toso (Toso), which was a great way to enjoy the New Year's spirit. This is a nice hot spring inn where you can taste wild boar, deer, amago, and more, and feel the nostalgia of a good old ryokan. This was my first time using the new room, and it was also good. You can choose to have breakfast in your room, but I chose to have it in the lobby.

I had high expectations because it was said to be one of Japan's top three beauty hot springs, and I was totally satisfied. The quality of the hot springs is perfect. The cuisine was a course that included game meat, allowing you to fully enjoy the delicacies of the mountains. However, since most of the dishes are pickled, I think there is a bit too much salt in them. It might also be a little bland. The room overlooks the stream, and you can spend a very elegant time here. There is a small waterfall nearby, but it's a bit of a climb up the mountain, so it's best to wear comfortable shoes.*Smoking is not allowed indoors, but there is a smoking area along the path leading to the hot springs. It's better not to have this. Eating other people's smoke while traveling is completely disgusting.
