The building is certainly old, butThe food was amazing and deliciousThere was something that looked like an oxygen inhaler.Jalan said there was no refrigerator in the room, but there was one. There is also parking space for about 10 cars in the back.Wi-Fi was also extremely fast.

It is a long-established inn that can be reached by walking for about 7 minutes from Nirasaki Station, and surprisingly it is located right in the middle of the city, along the street. (When I heard of a ryokan, I imagined it to be in the countryside or somewhere a little out of the way.)It looks like an inn with a lot of history, and you can feel the history everywhere, in both good and bad ways. It's beautiful though! Although the room is a little dark, the windows are large and sufficient. Wi-Fi is also perfect. As it is a long-established inn, the walls are quite thin, so you can hear voices and footsteps in the hallway, as well as sounds from the next room. It may be quite tough for those who are concerned about it.I think it's family-run, and it's very warm-hearted. We had breakfast and dinner, and the meals were quite voluminous and each dish felt home-cooked. The drinks at dinner and the vending machine in the annex were reasonably priced. Also, coffee is not included with breakfast...how sad.Although the bath is called a large bath, it is quite tight for 3 people. For women, it looks like a normal bathroom.Since it was high season, I didn't feel that the cost performance was very high, but the homely feeling might be a little addictive lol

I stayed here for a night while traveling to the Hakushu Distillery. I really wanted to stay in a traditional ryokan and it was an easy walk from Nirasaki station so the combination of factors made it a great choice. The couple (?) running the inn were very nice and the food was amazing!! The food was in my top three meals of my 2 week trip. I stayed in a western room because I was not sure what to expect with communal bathrooms in Japan. Having been there, the worry was for nothing. Next time I would have no problem with the tatami. As others have noted, the room lighting can be a little dim, hence ⅘ stars for room. All the lights and lamps need to be on in evenings to do anything beyond sleeping. My only regret is I don't know enough Japanese to really talk to the owners beyond "Breakfast at 7 please" and "Can I pay with cash?". Thanks for your hospitality during my stay!

This is a long-established inn that has been around since the Edo period, but you can only have lunch there.Lunch is Koshu beef steak bowl. It's absolutely delicious! It is run by a young couple with small children, and there is a children's room, making it suitable for families.

I used it when I was on a business trip.Is it a family business? The service was warm. The large public bath is large enough to accommodate three people, but I'm grateful to have it.If you look carefully, you will find an outlet in the guest room in an inconspicuous place, which is good for those who like to sleep with their smartphones by their pillows.Breakfast is what you would call a Japanese breakfast and is easy on the stomach.I think it depends on the room, but I was concerned about the noise from the outdoor unit.
