The atmosphere in the open-air hot springs in winter is good. The only thing I want to say is that it is inconvenient that there is no lotion to use in the boys' bath. However, my wife said that it is provided in the girls' bath. I don't know why there is such a difference.

Great place to stay. Very close to Hanazono lifts and Kutchan. Staff are all super helpful. The van shuttles you to the slopes and to dinner in Kutchan each day. Room was great, breakfast good, Onsen is small but functional. Having stayed in Harifu before we preferred the freedom inn being close to Kutchan for a more authentic Japanese experience. When we next come back to Niseko we’ll stay again. Can’t recommend enough.

It's a cozy place to stay in. The location and staff really make it worth it even though it's a little expensive during peak season and don't expect too much from the breakfast. The service is great though, especially the free shuttle service to the Kutchan station and the Hanazono 308.
