I stayed here on a family trip (2 people in their 30s and 2 people in their 60s).The facilities, service, and hospitality of the employees were wonderful, but the food was far from my expectations, which is my only regret. Details are below.■Rooms and amenities・I stayed in a room called Togen. It was more than 50 tatami mats in size, and was large enough for 4 people to stay. In particular, the open-air bath attached to the room was wonderful, and I was able to relax while enjoying the atmosphere outside. The overall structure was luxurious, with a changing and rest area for the open-air bath (equipped with an air conditioner) and a hallway with a courtyard about half a tatami mat in size.・On the other hand, it is not possible to completely hide the open-air bath from inside the room, so I thought you should be careful when going there with friends of the opposite sex.・Basic amenities are available. It was helpful that each person provided two pieces of in-house wear and a basket bag for going to the open-air bath in the large public bath.■Customer service/service・The way we were greeted upon arrival and the explanation of the rooms were very polite, giving me the impression that this was a first-class hot spring inn. There was one member of my family who wasn't feeling well, but when I was going to a nearby convenience store, he happened to have some free time and gave me a ride, which was very helpful.・Also, when I called to confirm the day before, they gave me various advice such as when to leave my luggage and how to get to the winery, which was very helpful.■Hot spring/bath・The large open-air bath has an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. The indoor bath is a normal hot spring with no view, but the outdoor bath is simple and has a nice atmosphere. However, please be aware that there are fixed times for men and women to use the service in the morning and at night.■MealsI booked a plan that said ``Enjoy hearty Japanese cuisine,'' but the meal I received was not Japanese cuisine at all. We received a completely creative cuisine based on Japanese and French cuisine, consisting of 8 dishes based on the story of Aladdin from Disney. I was really looking forward to the Japanese cuisine at the hot spring inn, so I was really, really disappointed. Below is what our family felt for your reference.・The 8 dishes consisted of 3 appetizers, 3 meat and fish dishes, 1 meal, and 1 dessert.・First of all, the quantity was small overall. I think it's not enough for men in their 10s to 30s. There was a wide selection of additional dishes on the menu, so perhaps the volume was originally intended to be added.・I wasn't impressed by the appearance. The presentation was far from what one might associate with the word Japanese cuisine, and was reminiscent of a 5,000 yen restaurant that specializes in photogenic dishes that girls in their 20s might appreciate.・There were two soups in the eight-course meal, but for balance, I think they should have had only one soup. (Maybe I felt that way because I was also drinking alcohol.)・The main meat was thin, about 1cm thick, and was well-cooked even though they didn't say it was well-done.・For dessert, Shine Muscat, perilla jelly, and watermelon came out. The Shine Muscat was more conspicuous in its presentation, so I ate that first, but when I ate the watermelon afterwards, it didn't have any sweetness. I think it would have been nice to have some advice on the order in which to eat the food when it was served.・For each dish served, we were asked to explain what scenes from the Aladdin story were used as motifs, but I wonder how families in their 30s and 60s should look when listening to the explanation. .There was too much of a gap between expectations and reality, and everyone was in a state of low spirits.・It is not that the head chef has changed, but that the head chef himself is trying out a course that he has wanted to try for a long time during the summer vacation period when there are many children. I think it would be better if you change the cuisine. Also, which group of children will be happy? I feel like children under elementary school age would be more happy with the children's lunch. .*Breakfast is not worth mentioning, so I will omit it.■OverallThis is the first time in my life that I have stayed at a hot spring inn that was so far from my expectations.I went back and checked past Ikkyu reviews and Google reviews for my first family trip in a while, and was drawn to the food so I made a reservation, but I learned a lot about how the concept of food can change suddenly. I did. From the employee's point of view, it may be ``I tried out a creative dish with a concept that I've wanted to try for a long time,'' but from the customer's point of view, it might be ``a dish from a hot spring trip that I don't have many times a year.'' I think this is a not-so-cheap accommodation, so I would have liked to see the food that lived up to the expectations of the plan name, ``Japanese food made from the heart.'' To be honest, I can't believe the food is from an inn that costs more than 40,000 yen per person. I thought it was such a waste, since everything other than the food was a wonderful inn. Please check this review and see if we can improve it.
