There is no elevator, so it is a bit hard to carry luggage. The bathroom and toilet for girls are on the third floor, so remember to bring slippers!

It's nice because it's close to the lift, but it's very expensive.

Great location, walking distance to ski lifts and the main grand hirafu area and great price for a budget conscious solo traveller. Staff were friendly and helpful, and included breakfast was solid. Bed was clean.Drying room was far too small for the number of people using it. Dorms are small with no locker storage for valuables, have creaky bunk beds and one power strip to share between 8 people. No early check in. Phone often rang at reception and staff would ignore it. Bathrooms are mouldy. No common lounge area to chill and meet people unless you want to sit in the basement in the bar. No fridges and no kitchen to prepare your own food. Clothes dryers leave your clothes wetter than they went in. Wouldn't recommend for a long term stay, this place needs some TLC!!!

Worst place I have ever stayed at!! The close proximity to a chair lift is the only positive aspect of this oz snow owashi lodge!!! Not a single staff member could answer any questions about transport, rooms, amenities or ski/ snowboarding arrangements. The ski shop staff were more concerned with talking to each other than sizing up skis and snowboards correctly. A staff member also let another patron into my room to look for some of their items without our permission when we were not in the room!!! Completely unacceptable breach of privacy and safety!!!!! The staff members are simply there for a holiday and not to work. They also obviously want you to drink at the bar downstairs in the hotel but then the food offered for the “free breakfast” are eggs and cereal, which adds to the absolute feeling of nausea, along with the wet dog smell of the entire place. I also got glass in my mouth when having a drink at the bar as I was given a chipped mug!! The photos online are completely inaccurate with the bar area in the basement being cut in half compared to the old photos, the ski shop taking place of the lounge area etc. The cupboard in my room fell on me when I opened the door as it isn’t secured down properly. The locks in the showers did not work at all!! Wifi was down for over 48 hours. The floor of the bathroom completely flooded through a drain when having a shower, wetting my clothes, phone and towel. I could not get hot water to work on any of the fourth floor showers. There are no fridges or amenities anywhere, other than a terrible microwave and kettle in the laundry!?!? Floors constantly wet dirty and slippery. They ran out of half of the spirits they offer, no wine, no mixers other than coke and lemonade. Smooth stainless steel coverings at the entrances from the snow, which I saw multiple people slip on. Absolute hell hole of a location. Should be knocked down and rebuilt!!!

The only reason I gave this place a one star is its location, very close to hill and 5 mins walk into the main area of town where there are lots of restaurants and shops. The dorms are horrible, honestly the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Luckily I had good people in my room. Here’s why it’s the worst I’ve ever stayed at. There was 2 plug for an 8 people dorm and no where near your bed, so we had to take turns rotating charging phones and other items. There is no where to lock up items or properly store your belongings. The rooms are tinny for the amount of people and your bags. The beds aren’t that comfortable. Bathrooms, the one on our floor had one sink. For Japan it’s a judge disappointment, I get Niseko isn’t very authentic Japanese in style, and is expensive overall - but I would spend an extra 100$ or so if you can for a comfortable space. Also could not get wifi to connect. You can hear everything in the hallways. If you are a light sleeper I do not recommend this place either.

Keigo has been not only a highlight when ordering a taxi but the musical inspiration for many a night I. The bar down stairs. If you are booking a room in a hotel you are severely missing out on a musical and hospitality genius. Keigo a highlight to remember!
