First of all, I did not stay here, so if you are looking at this review because you are planning to stay here, please do not use it as a reference. The other day, I was cycling around 22:00 at night when I passed right in front of it. Then, I was shocked to see a foreign couple (?) standing outside the entrance wearing only a bath towel. Naturally, I don't think such people stay at the hotel every day, but I think the minimum manners should be taught to the guests (well, no one would think of going out outside wearing only a bath towel) Maybe there's no way to be careful.)

My friend's family from Tokyo and my family stayed here, and we were able to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto! The cypress bath was comfortable and it was nice to have tatami mats in the bath. I was also happy with Chidori-ya's amenity goods. There are many restaurants where you can eat delicious meals within walking distance, so I would like to stay here again! The breakfast that I ordered and had delivered to me (by Izumi Sen) was also very delicious. thank you very much!

The quaint building has a contemporary Japanese interior. However, I can't say that the location is very good. It's far from any station and you have to walk 700-800m to eat.
