There were a lot of good hotel options in Kyoto but I’m so glad we stayed here. It is a small hotel without a lot of amenities and located a bit further away from the train station but the room was worth the tradeoff. Especially enjoyed the bathroom and the tatami room. Great coffee and soba place next door and izakayas within 5-minute walk. We would definitely stay here again.

There is a separate tatami room and a living room. 370,000 won for 2 nights? It was about that much, but it was very spacious and nice.I was embarrassed because there was a strong mold smell in the bedroom, but it got better after I turned on the air purifier. The window is not open and the sunlight comes in well. There was a microwave and there was a weekly Life Market so it was nice to buy something to eat. However, it was an awkward 20-minute walk to the downtown area, so it was a bit inconvenient to walk a lot.

Lovely small Hotel with beautiful rooms and excellent location for a good price. We stayed at the hotel for a full week and really enjoyed it.Room:- Spacious for Japanese standards with huge beds and nice atmospheric lighting- Very CleanStaff:- Super helpful but you usually don't engage much with them other than saying hello and goodbye when passing through the entranceLocation:- Amazing it was right in the middle with 2 minute walk to different metros and buses- Very close to one of the best places to eat in kyoto with a famous ramen streetOverall we really enjoyed our stay

From the outside the building is quite stealthy, we couldnt see it at first but once you enter you realize how amazing this hotel is, our room was very spacious, with an area tatami, a full living room and a separate bedroom, the bathroom was big too. They do not offer early checkin, even 30 min early is unacceptable.

BRUTAL HOTEL100% recommended hotel. With a unique Japanese style in which you will feel as if you lived in a house there, but with all the comforts covered. The rooms are large and with space in the dining room. The bathrooms are incredible since you have a bathtub but also a stool with a bucket so you can shower like a real Japanese. In conclusion, it is an incredible hotel close to everything in a very authentic neighborhood of Kyoto.
