Used the night before climbing Mt. Asahidake. 500 yen per night. The water is natural and delicious. There are no vending machines. The manager is kind. Clean and quiet. There are charging outlets and Wi-Fi in the common areas of the restrooms. perfection.

Good campground with good facilities. Tent space is ample but check in by 6pm. Kitchen is well lit and toilets are clean and nice. The lights of the campground however goes away by 9pm until 5am so if you are alone then a bit scary hahaha!!

Unfortunately this places closes at 18.00. We arrived at 18.15 and it was still light, but there was a sign telling us we couldn’t stay overnight anymore as they had closed. So good to check the closing hours before driving all the way up there.

I used it for the night before and after climbing Mt. Asahidake. The kitchen and toilets (Western-style) were very clean and comfortable to use, with no trash, and there was a space with a small bench in the toilet building, and I was very grateful that I was able to use the power supply there freely for charging etc. It was! I believe there was one two-hole outlet.Wi-Fi seemed to work near the restrooms, but Rakuten Mobile's signal was a little weak, but it was there, so I was able to do research online on the site. There is also a cooler box in the kitchen to keep food safe from animals. You can also separate your garbage and throw it away at any time. The caretaker has been patrolling the campground since early in the morning, and I think that's why it's such a nice campground because it's well-managed.The site is divided into several sites, and the site I used was right behind the kitchen, and the ground was flat and easy to set up.It is also convenient that you can take a day trip bath at a nearby inn. I used the hot springs at K's House on the first day and at Hakuunso on the second night. There are no food or drink sales in the administration building, so you'll need to buy some before heading there. It's a bit pricey, but the inns where you can take a day trip bath also sell cup noodles and sweets. It's within walking distance to the ropeway stop, so I think it's a really convenient and comfortable campground! This is quite amazing for 500 yen per person.Above all, the manager was very kind and it was a heartwarming time, and I would definitely like to use it again.

I stayed here for one night in order to climb Mt. Asahidake first thing in the morning.I think it's great that you can use electricity, Wi-Fi, water, toilets, pitch a tent, and even start a bonfire for just 500 yen. The kitchen and toilets are very clean. If you want to stay at a similar campsite near where I live in Osaka, I think it would cost around 3,000 to 5,000 yen. It was a great value. (^ω^)At first, I was planning to sleep in my car in the parking lot, but since the tent site was well maintained, I decided to stay in a simple tent. Thanks to this, I was able to sleep soundly until sunrise the next morning. There are multiple managers, but the elderly manager was very nice and told me all about the surrounding area, so I had a great time. If you're lucky, it's said that you might see a rabbit or a deer. This time I went solo camping, but next time I would like to visit with my family.【important】During the day, there are a lot of mosquitoes and gnats. However, when the sun sets and you can no longer hear the insects, they disappear completely. Therefore, it is best to pitch your tent just before the sun sets. Once the sun goes down, you can relax and not worry about getting bitten by insects.*Information as of late June 2023.
