Charming place, when we saw the comments on both Google and Booking, we were a little scared, but nothing to see. It is a very nice place, the beds are very comfortable, the living room is very cool. It is an authentic Japanese house, everything is very clean.

This is a house that should probably be demolished. Floor boards on ground level gave in several inches in some places. It is an old style Japanese house. And as such an interesting experience. Also it has loads of space and it was fairly clean. But ants crawled the floor at ground level and a spider roughly the size of my hand was sitting on the wall next to the toilet. Fortunately the house has two of those so er decided to just close the door (firmly) and share the upstairs one as none of us felt having a 9inch spider (with hairy legs) as a spectator on short distance. Only two of the beds were actually beds. The other lacked mattresses so they were hard as boards. Towels were laid out but fewer than the number of people we booked for. And they looked a bit funky with inexplicable stripes of blue dye even though they were brown. The house had a bit of odour which I ascribed to rotting floor construction under the tatami. The whole experience was kind of interesting but we are happy it was only for one night. I suggest arriving at daytime. The house is much nicer in daylight than in the dark. It could be a really nice place but it would require a lot of extra care. Will never go back. But will appreciate that it caters for good stories to be told later.

moldy smell, giant spider in the toilet, located next to a graveyard. Slept pretty well though the bed was comfy. Would call this a scary but authentic experience 2/6
