Me & wife from Singapore, choose this Tani Ryokan for its beautiful garden & onsen in the Okuhida Alps in Shinhotaka despite its infrequent transportation to the ryokan. Stayed 1N, The kaiseiki breakfast & dinner is fantastic(photo). Explained to details of the meal. Loved it's outdoor rare mixed rock onsen. Large & seclusive, no problem even there were 3 couples (men & woman) of us using same time, we able to find a seclusive spot/tub to ourselves as there were huge rocks & landscape in the mixed onsen. All of us use the small towel to cover our modesty as per japan cultureHospitality is great, we suppose to check out 10am next day but because of early bus arrival timing, owner Tani san offer to fetch us to our nearest bus stop to take another adjoining bus to our next destination instead of we checking out early to catch the early bus... a very GREAT あいがとございま

Sunday, March 10, 2024Stayed for 1 night on a couple trip. There were two groups of guests, so it was almost impossible for us to be together with other guests at hot spring facilities. There was still some snow left the day before, so I was able to enjoy the snow bath. The open-air bath is large. The room was clean and comfortable.New toilet, air conditioner.Dinner and breakfast were enjoyed in a private room overlooking the snowy garden. Of course everything is delicious. It was a very satisfying stay. This is a good accommodation for couples who want to spend a quiet time.I can't stay for consecutive nights.Limited to 2 people per room.Cash payment only.Only Japanese. There are no day trip hot springs.

anywayIt's a soothing inn 🎵 The open-air bath and garden are handmade by the owner ❗ I could feel the love everywhere I look ❤️ The decorations and lighting on the hallway stairs give me a gentle feeling 😊 I'm looking forward to the food more than anything. 😋🍚 Enjoy the aroma, the sight, and the taste 🎵 I felt the heart in each and every dish ☺️ The coffee brewed with spring water ☕ was also delicious ❗ Time passes quietly. Forget about everyday life and free your mind 👌

This is my first time using it. It was a Japanese-Western style room, just as you saw in the photo, and it was a small but relaxing room.It was my second room, but it became my favorite. The hot springs are also at a level of perfection that makes it hard to believe that they were handmade by the owner. Hot water is also good. I would like to come again. The post-bath area is also very stylish and impressive. The garden is also beautifully maintained and beautiful. There was a server for tea and water in the hallway, and both hot and iced drinks were available at any time. The food is delicious and filling, and the staff is so kind and attentive that you'll definitely come back again.Speaking of luxury, I think the pillow could have been a little bigger. However, it is still an inn that I would like to visit again. Please bring your own cushion.

I went to stay at a certain place for the first time in a while, but unfortunately it was a rainy day, so I was a little disappointed. I went to stay at this inn for the first time in a while, and although the atmosphere of the building hasn't changed much, the atmosphere of the rooms inside was very nice, as the kanji in the rooms had changed dramatically. It was 😀The dinner menu has also been updated, and all of the dishes were delicious😉👍️✨What's a bit disappointing? I was really disappointed because only the changing area in the bathroom hadn't changed much from the previous stay. Did you say that the changing room was disappointing? It was a shame that the women's changing room was still small and there was no air conditioner (it was the same as when I came last time) 😞💧,,,.Although the rooms inside the inn have been beautifully renovated, it's really a shame that the changing area in the bath was not.If possible, I would like to expand (renovate) the changing room a little bit and also install a cooler 😞💧
