How high is the temperature in Kyoto at this time on July 20, 2024! ! ! ! Do you have to turn off the air conditioner when you sleep at night? I didn't sleep well in the first place, so I woke up several times overnight due to heat. . It is not recommended to stay here. Turn off the air conditioner for four nights and three days? Isn't this SB? Close the door as soon as possible

This place is awesome. I met so many friendly and interesting people here and the common room makes it easy to meet new people if solo traveling. The facilities are great abd the beds are comfy. Best hostel I've stayed at in Japan so far. And also cheap!!

Enjoyed my stay. Bus stop right around the corner and 20 minute walk to a few sites. Beware of low doorways. Nice kitchen. Lots of areas to sit and relax. Dorms got quite hot, but can only ask for AC temperature to be changed while the front desk staff is there until around 9pm. If you arrive before 4pm check-in time, everyone just left their bags in the entryway area. Bed is comfy and very spacious cubby (the end cubbies look smaller). They give you a lock and key for the locker included in the price. Hot showers. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers but I never had a problem when I needed them. I think there's only 2 dorm rooms here anyway, so not so many guests

The service is really not good especially when you charge more than $100 per night. Be careful, the prices practically doubled overnight; they change with demand, not very correct for a guest house. And finally charging 500 yen for bath towels when we spend 5 nights and leaving more than $500 is petty and not correct at all. Even the dorms are expensive. No hot water in the sinks so not great for shaving and the walls of our bedroom need to be redone. The positive is the kitchen area and the common living space but be careful it is cold.... NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We stayed for a long time at the Otro Mundo hostel. As for the welcome: Emi-san is very helpful and gives good advice. She helped us a lot when we encountered difficulties. Very cheerful, does her best speaking English!Regarding the traditional room: very little space to store things but very good experience sleeping on futons! Where we sleep very well! A coffee table and cushions are available. Window and heating/air conditioning. The bedrooms are upstairs with a toilet and sink.Concerning the dormitories... If you are lucky you will have the beds with the most space! Otherwise, you don't have to be claustrophobic 😅 a real capsule in which it is extremely hot! A box is available at the feet/next to the futon with a padlock. Curtains hide your capsule. 6 beds per dormitory.Fortunately, so as not to stay locked in your capsule, the lounge is very pleasant, where you can eat and have breakfast with the other residents! A traditional room that we like! A kitchen with fridge, kettle, microwave and a mini oven are available. Green tea is free! There are the necessary utensils for those who wish to cook. Both showers are on the ground floor with two toilets. The area has convenience stores but also supermarkets and various restaurants! The value for money and the general atmosphere make this place very good for staying in Kyoto for short stays, despite its slightly out-of-the-way location!

The best value for money for people just staying the night! You can use your money for other things! There are no amenities, butThere is Sugi Pharmacy on the other side of the road. There is a bath called ``Kasa no Yu'' within walking distance, and there are also restaurants nearby that serve delicious Akashiyaki. Those are the best too.
