I came to Japan just because I wanted to experience the local culture and characteristics of Japan, so I chose to stay here for many nights. The whole environment was really comfortable, and I felt relaxed both physically and mentally. Although it is an old house, it is very clean and the boss is very nice. Nice, if I visit Kyoto again next time, I will still choose here👍

Best stay in Japan I've had so far. Very friendly host and anyone with an architectural understanding will also like it. The bathroom is outside, I didn't think it was bad and you can do laundry for ¥200, which is a bargain. 😋 If you are traveling alone it is a great place to stay. There are several bus stations and a tattoo friendly onsen nearby. But you always have to allow about 30 minutes if you want to go to the tourist spots! Personally, I didn't think it was that bad, I enjoyed being "outside" for a bit.⭐️

Located on the outskirts of Imadegawa, it has a very Kyoto-like architectureI stayed in Kyoto for more than ten days. The boss and the lady boss from Taiwan are very kind. The boss’s daughter is also very cute and will chat with me.I met people from all over the world. The living room and bed are very comfortable. The cleaning and service are also very serious. The atmosphere makes you feel at home. The only regret is that staying for ten days is not long enoughIf I have the chance to go to Kyoto again, I will definitely stay here again. Taiwanese who like authentic culture and quality must stay here.

Very fun stay and the host is pleasant. You’re in for a full Japanese hostel experience here. Bathroom and showers are outside so keep that in mind, and you’re in a dorm style room so it can be loud but everyone is aware of quiet hours. The location is nice but food closes early and it is far from the downtown if that’s what you want. Would def stay again when I come back.

Deduct 🌟 becauseThe boss strictly requires that after check-outYou are no longer allowed to stay in public areas of the hotelAlthough you may have almost finished your breakfastIt's a lot like not being a guest once check-out time has passed. That attitude change is too big.Ruin the good impression during your stay😅Maybe the boss himself handles the cleaningI have my own reasons for strict regulationsHowever, it is not a common youth hostel request and was not informed in advance.Other toilets and bathrooms are external,Might be easier to blow drySome door frames are shorter and more than 175 cm are more likely to be hit.Advantages: Close to Tenmangu ShrineThere is a bus stop sign right outside the door. The space has a strong Japanese style————5/28 Respond to the boss:Google is a platform for public commentsThe reason for deducting one star from the review is also clearly stated.I don’t know what’s the point of blocking me from seeing your response🤷‍♂️Response received from boss via GmailI couldn’t laugh or cry even when I read it through a translator😂That morning was my last day in Kyoto and there was no specific itinerary.I also don’t know your hotel’s policy about not using public spaces after check-out.After getting up at 9 o'clock, I leisurely made tea and chatted with the housekeeper.I went to buy breakfast around 9:30 and was halfway through my meal because I was worried about delaying check-out.So go ahead and pack your luggage and return the room key. After that, after breakfast, we are ready to set off.So you want to say that I stayed out lateFirst I didn’t know in advance, and now I can’t verify the time you mentioned😮‍💨Secondly, I don’t think I acted uncooperatively after you told me, I just needed time to finish eating🤷‍♂️It seems it's not my imaginationThe boss must have been very rude and told me that I had to leave the public space. After I finished my meal, I left dumbfounded. If you want to clean, I understand and cooperate. But I didn’t know your rules in advance (when I checked in consecutively a few days ago, I saw that other guests were still in the public area when they wanted to check out)And now you can just ask me to move to a nearby place to cooperate with your cleaning operations, instead of driving people away? 🤷‍♂️It is recommended that you give a special reminder when checking in. It’s not impossible to cooperate🤷‍♂️I didn’t know in advance that you had to give us time to react...In addition, I felt that the boss was not funny and friendly. He is more of a strict person😅
