The facilities were new and clean and very nice, but this was the first time I had stayed in such a sad and painful place. …

The location is very convenient for self-driving tours! 5 minutes to the station! Nearby attractions are only half an hour’s drive away! There are convenience stores and drugstores about five minutes’ walk away!

Stayed with a family of 4.There were furniture and appliances just like at home, and I was able to buy food at a nearby convenience store, heat it up in the microwave, and eat it.We watched a movie on the big screen using the projector and enjoyed it even after sightseeing in Nikko.

Although the location and room size are perfect, there’s nothing good in the hotel other than these.1. Check in system is terrible. The check in self service counter is not easy to find and they didn’t send me the booking reference before the check in.We took a lot of time to contact the service call center and the whole check in process took an hour in which normally other hotels only take about 15 min at most.Ironically there was a sign saying “you can do the check in in your room”, but please think about the feasibility when “your room” is not yet available.2. No luggage storage around the hotel. We couldn’t store the luggage before the check in time. The nearest coin lockers are in the train station, where it took us around half an hour in order to store the luggage.Note that the storage of train station is only till 5pm, this really impacted our travel plan. The arrangement is totally inhumane and inconvenient for travellers.3. Bugs are everywhere near the door and windows. We found worms, flies, grasshoppers and all sorts of insects near the room. Worms should have enjoyed the onsen before our arrival which made us refrain from using the onsen. In essence, the onsen is an item that no one is willing to use. This accommodation should be one of the most awful experience that I have ever. I don’t people who have stayed will recommend this hotel.

I think the people who complained on their review haven't been here or are not used to go on vacation. This is a fantastic modern apartment with enough room! Not super cozy but clean and modern. Its not far from the train station, around a 10-15min walk and the roads are perfectly walkable. You have all the amenities needed and there is even a projector for movie nights. The sound proofing isn't that great but on our stay we didn't have much of a problem with it.If you want something to eat I 100000000% recommend Eat Asai, the sweetest owner who speaks really good english and is very interested to share stories with you. He is such a nice man!One thing to mind though is that you SHOULD do your check in stuff partially beforehand otherwise its gonna be a nightmare. The check in system is horrible! But all the rest is very good!
