I stayed in a log house twin bed with half board on a Saturday holiday in mid-October for about 26,000 yen per person.①It is a truly secret hot spring that can be reached in 30 minutes by shuttle bus from the Meobuchi parking lot. This quaint inn is full of patchwork, making you wonder what would happen if there was an earthquake of magnitude 5.②The room was log house type and had a toilet, which I was grateful for, but you couldn't change the settings on the stove, so rather than spending the night relaxing in the cold, it was more like taking a bath and wrapping yourself in a warm futon. . Even the bathroom is cold, which is hard for me living in the city lol Well, it can't be helped in a place like this, and we understand, but...the wood on the indoor wall is full of mold, so it's just minimal maintenance. I don't think so.③The meal consisted mainly of mountain products, but it was very delicious. I remember that the river fish sashimi I ordered additionally was reasonably priced, but it was thick and especially delicious. I think the price of alcohol is also reasonable.④The long-awaited bath is a secret hot spring! ! It was a nice bath. However, since we arrived late to begin with and entered the open-air bath for the first time in the dark, we were at a considerable risk of falling as we did not know what the road was like, so please be careful. I think the ingredients of the hot spring itself and the unique smell were very good. But personally, to be honest, when I learned that the Kanitoyu next door was a milky white hot spring, I thought it was a shame... As for the mixed bathing, there is a system where women can use the towels provided, which I don't think has ever been done at other secret hot springs. It's nice and conscientious (additional towels cost 400 yen). There is also a separate time for women only in the open-air bath.⑤Although most of the staff members are young people from other countries, they are fluent in Japanese to a certain extent, and I think the service was generally good. But what will this country really be like in 10 years? A hidden hot spring in an inn full of foreigners... It was also a good opportunity to think about the future of this country. So, this is the 19th secret hot spring meeting! ! This inn also had a nice bath. However, to be honest, even though it was a long holiday, when you consider the total cost performance, it was a little low compared to other places. Given this amount, I think there is room to consider other options. This is just a random note, but in Nikko, there were many times when my smartphone's GPS did not work properly, and there were many places where the signal was interrupted. As a result, I originally thought it would be a one-hour bus ride from Senjogahara via the Sanno Forest Road at 3:00 p.m., but Google Navi showed that the Sanno Forest Road was closed, and information from Tochigi Prefecture said it was only closed in October. I got confused and ended up finding that the entrance to the forest road was closed, so I gave up and took a two-hour detour. In the end, I ended up taking the 4:30 p.m. bus and arrived at 5:30 p.m. By then it was pitch dark...And as I was writing this review today, I was mistaken because the place we thought was the entrance to the Sanno Forest Road was a little short...Hmm...I think it's best to plan your trip carefully in advance. I learned once again the importance of planning and researching things. thank you very much.

I stayed here for the first time in several years. The food is much better. I was concerned about the hectic behavior of the people serving the food, but there were many ways to make sure the food was eaten while it was still warm.Check-in and check-out were handled very well and I had a great stay.I think the quality of the hot water is also very good. The nearby ○○yu was very disappointing, so I recommend Hatcho no Yu.Since thenThank you for your help every year.Last year, I waited until the next dish came out during dinner.1 hour? I think it took longer than that. The total time for dinner was 3 hours. No excuses, no explanations, no apologiesI was disappointedI don't think I'll expect any more food this year.I chose a cheap course. The rice is bad. The way the rice is cooked is terrible.I thought they were steaming old rice and serving it.I think the side dishes are at a normal level. The meal was terrible

Rustic little wooden onsen in the heart of the forest, the warm pools are next to beautiful. Good food. 24/7 access to the hot pool/baths. Tatoo wasn't a problem. Soo happy with that, since other onsen ban people with tattoos

It's late September and it's 35 degrees in the city center, but it's cold here at night so I turned on the heater, which is unbelievable paradise. It took a train and bus from Tokyo to finally get there, but even though it was far away, it was worth it.The atmosphere inside the hotel, the hot springs, the food, the staff's response, and the free-range dogs were all very good.I didn't have high expectations for the food since I stayed in a Japanese style room rather than a log type, but it was delicious enough.I was able to enter the mixed bath without hesitation, as I was allowed to wear a bath towel (it's navy blue, so it's not see-through).It was also great that I was able to enjoy a day-trip hot spring at Kaniyu next door (about 10 minutes walk) until the time for the shuttle bus to take me home.I would like to go again during the snow season.

An Onsen lover's onsen. Beautiful baths, nice room, good food. The staff is great. Deep in Nikko's National Park. The trip is worth the adventure. Takes a while to get there but if you want to bathe in nature, excellent.

The guy who picks me up from the Onnabuchi parking lot is good at driving. We climbed up the rocky mountain road, which was so rocky and full of holes that it looked almost artistic, and we moved away the fallen tree that completely blocked the path (the male passengers also got up to help, but the minibus door wouldn't open from the inside). Great success. After arriving, I put my shoes in the shelf and waited at the restaurant.Too bad I didn't know that you could order curry or pizza on the spot before 1:30.Rooms with two-digit numbers in the log house are far from the front desk, and you have to climb many stairs (you have to carry your own luggage). It may be difficult for people with weak legs. The stairs are narrow, so be careful when going down in slippers. In the open-air bath with the scent of sulfur and rich hot water, dragonflies came and landed on my fingertips twice. For some reason, neither the cicadas nor the birds were singing. Is the path to the open-air bath (you can also go from the women-only open-air changing area to the mixed bathing open-air bathing area) to avoid mosquitoes? The beautiful pure white gauze curtains are layered over each other, giving it a romantic feel. There is a dehydrator in the corner of the changing room.It is convenient to bring a large polyester scarf for mixed bathing.Changing bath towels costs 400 yen (laundry fee). The women's indoor bath looks like a bright greenhouse. The hot spring water is a good spring with a strong sulfur scent. I want you to pour it into the bathtub. The waterfall could be seen from every outdoor spot. The slope closest to the waterfall is slippery and slippery with moss. take care. The tea table in the room has a screw loose? It was shaking so I asked for a chat on my cell phone and a staff member came right away and fixed it for me.Sweets (tea-bag), tea bowl, and kettle available. The staff will help you with refilling your meal.A white tsundere dog saw me off.2024 8 28

Most of the staff are foreigners. The male staff in the kitchen were chatting loudly, which bothered me a lot.The location, building, and hot springs are very good. The bus driver and female staff were very accommodating. In the main building, you can hear voices from the rooms next door, so be careful.Meals are normal. If you go to the hot spring late at night, the employees will also come in. I was using the hair dryer all the time, and I moved to another place to use the hair dryer. Shouldn't you at least use it when there are no customers? No careful consideration was given. It was a disappointing impression even though it is a nice place in Japan.
