I stayed the night before to participate in an event at Mobility Resort Motegi.I've known about its existence for a while, but I didn't have the chance to use it, so this was my first time using it.You can stay overnight without getting off the expressway, so there are no fees or time loss, and even if you get on a Friday, if you get off on a Saturday, you get a holiday discount, so it's a good deal.I can understand that the concept is an American motel in Japan...My companion was using a different store, and since my family and I have experience staying in authentic American motels many times, we were accepted without any hesitation. The structure is definitely motel style. The bed is large, queen size, and comfortable to sleep on.The bathroom and toilet are separate and the bathtub is large. The reception opens from 7am and a light breakfast is served at the same time.I couldn't eat because I left early in the morning.I would like to see more stores, but it seems like they won't be able to increase the number of stores due to the rising cost of materials due to the coronavirus pandemic etc. It's a shame.Although it is separate from the motel, I personally would like a large public bath.Lastly, regarding accommodations on the expressway, this is the second time I have stayed here following Rest Inn Taga in Shiga, but I would like to see more accommodations as the benefits are great.I think this is a great option, especially since I travel by bike and can't sleep in my car.On the Tohoku Expressway, there is only Koko or Chojahara SA, and Chojahara only has an inbound line, so I would like it to be built around Fukushima with a concentration of up and down lines, or something like Taga where you can go back and forth between up and down lines.
