I visited there the other day for the first time in 10 years. I remember that it was a very nice inn back then, and even though it's been 10 years, I really wanted to visit, so I made a reservation on their website a few weeks in advance. Below is a summary of the good points and points of interest. (We stayed for 1 night and 2 days without meals on the middle and last day of the long weekend. The crowds and staff may vary depending on the day, so please use this as a reference only.)【good point】・Although I stayed without meals, I received various services such as mini pillows and incense for a good night's sleep, sweets after taking a bath, and morning coffee.・The baths are for men and women, so I was able to take two open-air baths and two indoor baths during my stay.・There is also a private bath, which you can use at least once, and if you're lucky, multiple times. The water was warm and my body felt very warm.・Women can choose their favorite from multiple types of yukata.[Points that caught my attention]・The last time I visited was 10 years ago, but the demographics of the employees had changed. The person who helped me check in was a young woman, but perhaps because she was not used to it, she spoke quickly, and the customer in front of me said, ``What do you mean? I don't really understand.'' I was in trouble. (The same thing happened to me.) When I checked the location of the room just to be sure, he replied curtly, ``Oh, I don't really understand, sorry.'' I also felt that different customers were treated differently, such as the customers behind them (day-trippers) being treated first even though they were in line.・Although this is a duplicate of the above, the level of responsiveness varies considerably depending on the staff. The female and male staff, who seemed to be the landlady, were available until late, arranging a private bath after dinner and serving sweets after dinner, but the rest of the staff seemed to have other jobs or not. He was not seen during the after-meal time and check-out time, when customer service was busy. Rather than a lack of manpower, I felt that there were differences in the perceptions of each staff member. At the time of check-out, a woman who appeared to be the landlady was working almost by herself, arranging check-out, arranging transportation, and taking photos of the group, and seemed to be very busy as she was operating on her own.・It can't be helped, but the facilities were showing signs of aging in many places. For example, the refrigerator in the room was leaking, and water was flowing all the way to the floor. I also made a reservation for a private bath, but was forced to cancel because there was no hot water due to a water supply failure.[Overall]Although I felt the comfort of the past, I felt a little disappointed that the staff's responsiveness varied widely. I think the number of customers will increase from now on as we enter the post-corona period, so I felt that it would be an even better inn if all the staff worked together to manage the hotel.

I went on a three-day weekend in September. My legs weren't very good so I had to stay in a room on the second floor, but I was kindly advised that I could move to the first floor, but I was allowed to stay in a room on the second floor. The room was spacious and clean, and it had a bed-style bed, which was great for someone like me who has difficulty walking.I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and breakfast.Honestly speaking, I think it would have been nice if there was a menu etc. The person in charge of serving the food was said to be efficient, but I'll leave it here so you can do as you like. I was a little disappointed that he said something like that.I took a private bath with herbs. The water was hot, but it was very relaxing. The public bath was beautiful and I used it twice, once at night and once in the morning.I was so happy to be able to stay at a ryokan-like inn for the first time in a while! The price was also reasonable for two people. I would like to stay there again someday!

The cleaning of the room and the bathroom was a little disappointing. Other than that it's great.

By chance, I stayed at Izunagaoka Onsen Ayame Festival. I was very lucky to be able to easily participate in the festival as the venue was on the hot spring street in front of my hotel. …

I went to eat some food on a day trip, but it didn't look appetizing so I came back without eating anything.
