There are many slopes on the way to the B&B. Unless you like walking, it is better to drive by yourself. Whether we are going back to the B&B or going somewhere else, taxi apps (Uber, DiDi) are not very easy to book a taxi in. (It is also possible that the reservations we made are short-distance ones and no one is willing to pick them up?) If necessary, you can ask the staff to help call a taxi. . Just tell the local driver the name of Stays Otaru and most of them will know where it is, which is quite reassuring. If you don’t have a self-driving car, renting an electric bicycle directly into the town is also a good option. There are two parking lots, one is next to the B&B, and the other is a 1-2 minute walk away. If you arrive early, you can park in the parking lot next to it first.There are many self-service items at the counter, including vending machines, various local seasonings, tea bags, extension cords, etc., which is very considerate! People who want to cook for themselves will be very happy. It is also fun to buy food from outside and add ingredients to test the taste. It would be great if more unmanned shops could be added to sell instant noodles...The room is quite large and the balcony is great. There is a battery candle on the table. After lighting it, it becomes very atmospheric at night. We also used it as a night light. I originally thought that the view from the room on the second floor would be ordinary, but after all, it is on the mountainside and the view is still very good. If the weather is good, you can see the sunrise in the morning and the moon at night is also beautiful.I like the design of the kitchen with a central island. The overall environment is perfect for two people. I would like to suggest that a bottle brush can be added to the kitchen utensils... People who are used to bringing their own kettle will be very grateful. The bathroom space is very comfortable and the bathtub design is very comfortable.(Because I have encountered very small bathrooms and bathtubs in Japan...) I am really happy to be able to stretch my legs here. The only drawback is that the gap in the curtains is a bit big, and the glass is not a one-way mirror, even though you can adjust the position left and right. (There is a gap of about 5-10 centimeters on the left and right) But it still makes people care about it, even though the scenery outside is not crowded... It's a bit inconvenient that there is no place to hang bath towels near the bathroom. There are about a dozen hangers, which is enough for two people. If you want to wash clothes, there is also a clothes drying stand available.The nearest supermarket is about a 15-minute walk from the B&B. There is a school nearby, and you can sometimes hear bells ringing, which is very cute. The nearby parking lot facing the sea is also a good place to watch the sea. Even though Rikkatei is just across a hillside, you still have to take a detour to get there.It was reassuring to have someone to assist with check-in. The service staff and booking message contact specialists were very friendly, and the responses to messages were not too slow. Although it is said that there will be people at the counter from 3 to 9 pm to assist with check-in and other tasks, they will still leave early if the work ends early. There was an emergency in our toilet during our stay, but fortunately the staff was very proactive in helping us deal with it.The overall stay is comfortable. A great apartment-style hotel with new equipment and large space. The location is convenient and there is a parking lot. The store is very considerate and provides a variety of seasonings for you to cook your own meals.

The room is great, the front desk staff is very friendly, the facilities in the room are very complete, you can do laundry and cook, and you can watch Netflix on the TV. After parking the car, you can walk down to the Bell Tower Shopping Street, but the walk back will be a slight uphill climb. Overall, A very good B&B.

Our family of four stayed here for two nights and had great memories. This hotel is located in a residential area on a hillside. The environment is very quiet, and cars can be parked in the free parking lot downstairs.We stayed on the second floor. The room was bright and clean, and there was a balcony with a view of the harbor. The bathroom has a large bathtub, a shower next to it, and a dressing area. The toilet and bathroom are separated, which is very convenient. There is also a washing machine and a rack for drying clothes. The open kitchen is not big but has all the basic cooking tools.The location of the hotel is very convenient. All major attractions are within walking distance. We didn't need to drive during those two days.
