Traveling from Thailand, about 6weeks ago and my travel just ended 5days ago.Life is a journey is one of the places I stayed during my time in Okinawa Japan.i would say that it served its price. Its a 4bedroom house shared kitchen, shower and toilet. The room is not too small for a solo traveler like me although the bed is. The blanket they prepare is xl size towel, my height is 5’11 so the towel is pretty short for me to serve as a blanket. The owner manubu welcomed me when I arrived and give me a tour in the house, in airbnb it says the washer and dryer is included but when you get there you have to pay extra. The toilet is clean but the shower, bathtub is not clean. You can see old dirt and stain visibly. There are laundries and laundry baskets everywhere. If you are looking for a cheap room, i would recommend this. But overall I wasn’t satisfied to the cleanliness of the place.

Manabu is a very nice and welcoming host who will answer all questions about the island. He made our stay much nicer and very memorable. The homestay is very clean and organized and had everything we needed (kitchen with fridge and cooking equipment, washing machine, dryer etc.). We loved it here and would love to come back. His wife and him also have a coffee shop next door and the food is delicious!

The location is perfect, great area. Rooms and whole place is clean and comfy, the owner is friendly and helpful. However the walls are very thin so you might be able to hear the other people that are staying there. Great price thoPros:- great price- comfortable room- clean- friendly owner- great locationCons:- thin walls (can be loud, no privacy)- some ants in the room

I stayed at Life is a Journey for 9 nights while scuba diving in Okinawa. The house is clean and comfortable.Manabu and Shizuka are a lovely, friendly and helpful couple that own Life is a Journey. The guesthouse is small with only 4 rooms, for me this beats the big hotels any day. Some reviews mention the beds are uncomfortable. I found my bed comfortable. The house is clean. Each day you get a clean towel. There's a washing line tucked around the side of the house which was great for drying my wet shortie and swim suit each evening and the outside tap was handy to rinse my gear. The shared kitchen was great as you get to meet other guests. The area is so peaceful and quiet. There is no noise what so ever. The area is very safe as well. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe walking around at night.

It was really good.Stayed here for 2 nights. The inside of the inn is beautiful, and it's close to the sea. Although it is not a swimming beach, you can enjoy the view with a can of beer in hand, or relax on the breakwater at night while looking at the stars. The toilet and bath are clean. You can also lock your room properly. There's a refrigerator, microwave, stove, and everything else. It's Reiwa 5, and I was able to use a beautiful private room at this price, which is definitely not available in Yomitan Village or Onna Village. There are several restaurants nearby that are open until around 23:00 within a 10-minute walk.it's recommended.
