I so recommend staying at Kappa Backpackers. The host is so friendly, kind, informative and helpful. The rooms and public areas are clean and convenient. The price is very reasonable. I was a solo female traveler and I felt very comfortable and relaxed. It is tucked into nature, away from the hustle and bustle. I stayed one night. Linens, coffee, tea provided and you can purchase snacks for cheap. The grocery store is open until 7pm and is a one minute walk away. The parking is a little far to walk but for me that was okay.おすすめです!

The hostel was built in 2016, by reforming an old traditional house. It has the characteristic bath unit called "Goemon Buro", a wooden swing hung on a tree and classical Tatami rooms. …

I used it before going downstream.A wonderful guest house full of travel spirit. The timing was good, and I was able to participate in the ``potluck dinner''. I heard a lot of fun stories from everyone who stayed there. The dormitory is also air conditioned, and the bed is spacious and clean. The location requires a bit of a climb up from the road, which can be difficult if you have a lot of luggage, but it's a guesthouse worth going to.

I used this service for the first time after it was recommended to me by a friend and a river sup guide. The renovated guest house is cozy and feels like a grandma's house in the countryside. It was interesting to talk with the owner who is full of love for his hometown\( ˆ ˆ )/The private kappa room feels like a secret base and is comfortable ♫Next time I want to take a Goemon bath and watch the trains lol

They were very kind and made me feel at home, so I felt safe and at ease. I think it's a good place to sightsee the Shimanto River and submerged bridge. If you miss the small signboard, you won't be able to get there. The parking lot is a little far away and difficult to find without being guided, but it is about a 3 minute walk from where you are staying. Local shops are nearby, which is very convenient, but they close in the evening. It's only for backpackers, so it doesn't have the comforts of a hotel, but I was able to take a shower or bath and relax. It's a bit of a side note, but if you're not confident in your skills, don't use National Route 439.

[Kappa Backpackers]I visited you for 2 nights in February 2023.The guest house was a renovated old folk house, and the Shimanto Hinoki features and tile art were cute and had a very nice atmosphere.I arrived late from Kochi city, exhausted, but the owner was full of hospitality, guiding me to the parking lot without making a bad face, and teaching me how to ride the Yodo Line. .Also, I felt safe because they had a lot of travel information. I'm happy with the owner's thoughtfulness, such as maintaining a map of the area. When planning my trip, I was able to receive detailed responses when I had inquiries, and I was also informed in advance that there would be fireworks during my stay, which made this trip so colorful. However, I think this is a guesthouse where people choose to stay. The rooms and common facilities are adequate and clean, but not extravagant. For example, there is no washlet. Insects may come in from outside.Although this place does not have the comfort of a 5-star hotel, it has all the necessary facilities, the majestic Shimanto River, a starry sky, the Yodo Line that runs right next to it, and wonderful encounters. was. It's a place I want to return to again.

There are only 4 rooms for 3-4 people. Dormitory is a kappa fan. There are decorations with kappa motifs all over the place, which will make you laugh. The JR Yodo Line tracks run right in front of you, but they only make four round trips a day, so you can sleep in peace. There are plenty of options such as barbecue and Goemon bath.

A guest house with a kappa concept. Thank you for taking care of me as a helper during Golden Week. It's an interesting inn, with raincoats all over the facility and each room having its own concept. The train passes right in front of you, so it's very impressive! There were a wide variety of guests, including backpackers, riders, families, and train enthusiasts. The atmosphere changes depending on the day, so I think you can enjoy it even if you repeat it.

I live in Kochi prefecture.Since it's hard to travel during the coronavirus pandemic, let's get a little taste of traveling with friends! So, I packed my backpack and went to stay the night. The inn was clean and had perfect measures against the coronavirus, so I was able to stay there with peace of mind. For dinner, I cooked myself. The kitchen was also large and easy to use.The owner, Mr. Murakappa, is the kind of person who gets more flavor the more he chews. We had a fun time. They also served delicious local sake.thank you! !It's not easy to travel these days, but it was a really fun time to be able to experience the feeling of traveling in a nearby area. The next day, I had breakfast at a nearby coffee shop.It was a restaurant full of tsukkomi, so I thought I'd like to use this story as a topic to stay again.Thank you for your help!
