Currently, there is only one group per day, so we are told to use the three rooms, bathroom, washroom, and toilet freely, making it feel like staying on the second floor of a relative's house. The water area was very clean, new and comfortable, and the amenities were well stocked, and although the towels provided for use were not high quality, they had a nice scent of fabric softener.Dinner was not included, but the landlady made reservations for us at a delicious izakaya within walking distance. The proprietress, who is a descendant of Tomiya Kinbei, is elderly and runs the inn by herself. He is a well-educated person, a good cook, and a wealth of topics to talk about. They will also explain nearby tourist spots. Next time I would like to visit during the Hijikawa storm.

I loved Tomiya Kinbe-Tei so much! I was there for Aoshima, and decided to stay 2 nights at Tomiya Kinbe-Tei. The obaachan and ojiichan are super warm and friendly! …

We stayed at this place for the trip to Aoshima (cat island), which gives us better accessibility to the ferry pier, as well as a 2nd chance to board it.Building and room is traditional and classy, though we visited when they are under external renovation, so no good views out the windows. The bed is comfy. Though the difference between the 3 rooms is a bit huge, with one having a table and chairs while the other two doesn't.However, as there are no other customers during our stay, they allowed us to use all the rooms. This historical building is owned by a pair of old couple. Very good and kind service. Though not being able to speak English, she kindly used Google translate for communications and email room reservation. Breakfast is fulfilling (though she will sit there and chat with you while you eat, could be a bit embarrassing for foreigners or those who have social anxiety. While dinner is not included, she also recommended a good restaurant (izakaya) for dinner. The walk to JR station is a bit far, but it's a good stroll through the neighborhood, there are no convenience stores nearby but a supermarket is available. However, hygiene is not perfect. Hair and dust can be found. Though it's acceptable considering that the only staff are the old couple.Overall it's a good place to stay.

This is an irresistible place for Sakamoto Ryoma fans. The landlady is also very kind and explains various things. It's also close to Akahashi, so I think it's a perfect accommodation for people who want to go see it.

It is said to be a historic guesthouse that Ryoma Sakamoto also visited, and the interior has been beautifully renovated. It was comfortable, but I was impressed by how kindly the landlady treated me. I was given detailed information about sunset spots in the city and how to get to my destination, and I felt great hospitality. The breakfast was also plentiful and delicious.

It was limited to one group, so we had a relaxing time. For dinner, we were introduced to a delicious izakaya in the neighborhood, and in the morning, the breakfast prepared by the hostess was very delicious. By chance, I stayed there in February, which coincided with the Hijigawa Storm, and I woke up to the sound of strong winds before dawn, and the landlady suggested, ``You can have breakfast at any time, and we should go see the Hijigawa Storm.'' , I was able to see fantastic natural phenomena at Nagahama Ohashi Bridge and Hijigawa Arashi Observation Park, which are nearby.
