Such a great find. A very clean quiet campsite with fantastic views over the Inland sea. Especially at night time the views of the bridges and passing ships are very nice. I came in the end of August and the warm shower was a very welcome surprise. And totally free!!

I think this is the only campsite in Japan that offers such a wonderful view of the calm sea in front of you, islands in the distance, small boats running between them, and the setting sun, and it's free.I don't know the current information, but the location is good and it may be crowded.

It was windy when we arrived, but it subsided in the evening, and it was great to see the sunset.Even though the facilities were minimal, I was very satisfied with the fact that they were free.

I visited for the first time in 25 years, but the idyllic scenery remains the same.Last time I caught a conger eel in the surf in front of me at night, but this time I caught a yellowtail over 60cm long.On the way back to the bus stop,I went with a former fisherman who was walking his dog.The state of the sea around here has changed over the past 20 years, with fewer fish and fewer boats in the port.

This is a free camping site that does not require reservations. Before using it, we checked the details with the organization that manages it and used it for camping.equipment1, water place, table, bench2, Flush toilet, paper providedThe site is a free Shiba site.Usage rules1, No open flames allowed2. Be sure to take your trash home with you.3. Pets are allowed, but owners must dispose of excrement and urine.thoughtsIt is a campsite with a beautiful view of the islands on the Shimanami Kaido. The downside is that there are occasional blasts, so setting up and taking down the tent is difficult as there is no place to block the wind. When I visited there once last year, I had the impression that it was a nice and quiet campsite, but I used it for the first time during the holidays this year, and unlike when I came last year, there were several groups of poorly behaved idiots making noise until midnight. Even with earplugs in, I couldn't sleep due to the noise and felt like I would never use the hotel again on consecutive holidays.Using consecutive holidays is a mistake. If you want to spend a quiet time, I think weekdays are ideal.

Camping on Chunichi during Golden WeekI didn't have any reservations and it was a free campsite, so I didn't have high expectations, but there was a kitchen and the toilets were clean. It was great to see the islands of the calm Seto Inland Sea right in front of me, and the Shimanami Bridge illuminated at night. It seemed like you could enjoy swimming in the sea in the summer. It is said that the sunset at Whale Plaza and the sunrise at Calais Square are beautiful (information from locals)You can't park your car in front of you, so it's convenient to have a cart for transportation.
