Comfortable stay at this guesthouse which used to be a hospital. Our host is very friendly and shared with us the history of town. He even brought us to a restaurant nearby for dinner.

Have some shaved ice.I'm happy to be able to enjoy syrups made with the pulp of various citrus fruits. Matcha milk is also available. The atmosphere inside the store is very nice as it used to be a historic clinic.

I was walking with my family and it was very hot so we stopped to cool off. After being guided carefully and having some shaved ice and lemon squash, I was able to cool my body and mind.Even when I left the store, they spoke to me kindly. This is a store I would like to visit again.

We stayed here on our bike ride around the islands. It’s location is right in the center of town. The staff could not have been nicer and the accommodations were lovely. Do keep in mind, this is guesthouse, not a hotel so there are less amenities. But as a guest house, it’s wonderful!

It's not a story that I find interesting. This is "Omomuki".Although the building is old, the toilets and plumbing fixtures have been renovated and are kept well-maintained.However, since the building is old, I think it can't be helped that the floors are creaky and the tatami mats in the living room are slightly sunken. Including that, I think this is "Omomuki".The owner was a very humble person and served customers politely. Also, for dinner, there is an okonomiyaki restaurant nearby. Or rather, that's the only place. It looks like it can also be used at a pub. There was another restaurant on Google Maps, but it was closed on the Saturday night I went. There is no place to eat breakfast nearby, so you need to prepare it in advance. There was an A Co-op about a 20 minute walk away, so I went there to get some supplies. It seems like they have some simple things like cup ramen available at the inn.The bathroom is just past the living room where you can eat, etc., so it might be a bit of a concern for women because you walk past the living room thinking, ``I'm going to take a bath now.''As for the bar in the evening, I noticed after arriving there that it says on the website that reservations are required. At my time, I was unable to use it due to various reasons. I think it's best to contact us in advance.Mitarai was extremely quiet at night. As soon as I left the inn, I could see the ocean, and since it was a full moon, the moonlight reflected on the ocean was stretching all the way to the island on the other side.It was so beautiful that I wanted to compose a poem. But I didn't have the knowledge to compose haiku, so I gave up.It was that kind of night.

It was unkind. When I went to ask where I could have dinner, I found out that it wasn't there. There was no restaurant nearby, so it was very inconvenient to stay in an accommodation without meals. There were also no paper cups for gargling in the bathroom.
