The scenery that Kenzaburo Oe saw remains intact, and a junior high school designed by Koji Hara, which Oe commissioned, is also nearby.Above all, this is a quiet inn located in a place where Uchiko, a treasure-like gem, is quietly breathing with everyone's thoughts.A lovely smiling couple will teach you what hospitality is all about.

I stayed two nights at this lovely inn with my mother and one year-old son. The two inn owners are very kind, generous, and hardworking hosts. They made their delicious meals with their own vegetables, rice, and eggs from their farm. Although I reserved a breakfast-only stay, the host served us tea and homemade snacks in the evenings (ohagi, korokke, sorbet). Very clean and tidy rooms and facilities in a tastefully renovated old-style home. Excellent location right on one of the historic streets of Uchiko, and a real bargain (see prices on website).

It was a one-night, two-meal stay where I was impressed by the friendliness of the host couple. Especially with the food, we were very satisfied with the menu and were completely satisfied.

The building is a renovated old folk house that blends in with the Uchiko streetscape, and the warm personality of the owner has played a role in Machikoshi. His wife's cooking is country cuisine that makes full use of the flavor of home-grown vegetables. This is also delicious.There were 3 rooms, and 8 people (3.3.2) could stay comfortably. There are washlet toilets on the 1st and 2nd floors, and 1 bath, so it's enough for staying with close friends.As you walk around the town, you will hear people say hello 😃, and you will be able to experience the warm atmosphere of Uchiko Town.The accommodation, people, and townscape are great. was.

I highly recommend it if you go to Uchiko Town just to stay here.The cleanliness made me feel at ease even though I am a bit of a germophobe, and what was especially noteworthy was the cuisine, which was made with plenty of local vegetables. We also had the seasonal salt-grilled sweetfish, and the pork spare ribs, which my son said he was raising, were also excellent.Of course, the warm hospitality is also at the highest level.For information, reservations can only be made by phone, and payment can only be made in cash. I don't mind that kind of hassle.

Stayed in July 2019 with a breakfast only plan. It was a very hearty and delicious breakfast.The old-fashioned building was quaint, but clean and comfortable.The Japanese sweets they gave us upon arrival were very delicious.Although I was with my child, they were kind and helpful.
