This has to be my best experience staying anywhere (Japan and other countries!) The kindness of the host and father has left me speechless many times. We feel blessed to been able to stay in a very clean, quiet and beautiful home. The host comes during the day when we’ve been away to clean things, put away dishes and change out our towels. We would come home late each afternoon to signs in English written for us to explain something or gift us something. They were quick to reply to any questions and concerns. The rooms have curtains over the bunk beds so there’s adequate darkness and there are two showers to accommodate more people. There’s also coin laundry, washer and dryer! The Japanese garden is a peaceful way to begin each day with tea and breakfast. We’ve had an incredible experience and hope to come again. Thanks Harry for helping make this trip even more special.

It was a little difficult to park the car, but all the rooms were very clean and I was able to take a good rest.The manager was very friendly and it was a lot of fun!

This is a guest house that is a renovated old folk house.The first floor has a shared living room, kitchen, shower room, toilet, and bedrooms that can accommodate several people, and the second floor has a pet-friendly bedroom and a shared toilet.There is a hearth in the common space, which is nice and relaxing (see video).It can't be helped because it's made of wood, but when I was sleeping I could hear small noises from other rooms, which bothered me a little.The parking lot is large, but the surrounding roads are a bit narrow, so please be careful when driving.For people who don't mind sharing shower rooms and toilets, I think this is a good guesthouse that's reasonably priced and relaxing.

If you feel unsafe in a mixed dorm, this is not it. Room is compact but the privacy is there so decide for yourself from the pictures other people posted. Place is also a little hard for the taxi to find since it's in a neighborhood area. 40 mins from matsuyama station by walking too so location isn't the best if you're in a hurry or arriving late.Only judging by the place because I arrived during the grey zone of unattended check in but not too late.Place is as good as the photos, maybe even more. There's bikes, umbrella, washing/drying machine, local phone device, bidet, wifi, kitchen and Japanese style decorations everywhere. The place/washing areas is clean and spacious.The open area is really good and the decorations/garden are also great. Sure wish I get the service where the host and father actually talk to me like the other reviews are saying.I want to add that the host got me a fan to dry my clothes naturally at night because it's been raining a lot.

Beautiful guesthouse, very authentic.The owners are nice, but don't necessarily speak English (but the basics are there to allow you to have a good time there)
