Other than castle ruins, I have never seen a village with such a beautiful landscape made of stone. It has a truly solemn atmosphere. Minshuku Ishigakiso is located halfway up the village by climbing the stairs from the parking lot along the coast. It is a unique inn where the scenery, food, and atmosphere you can see from the window will stir up your travel desires.

It's called Ishigaki-so, and looking at the stone walls makes me feel nostalgic, or even though it's not my home, I feel like I've come back home. The area near Ishigakiso where you can see the river is really nice. The fish dishes, grunt, and gourd were delicious. Recommended for those who like the countryside in their favorite season. From here, you can go to Yumekaina-go in 5 minutes by car, and Ainan Market Shokudo in about 12 minutes. Hime Suma can be reserved. It is not possible to reserve seats.

I've stayed at many guesthouses all over Japan, but this one is the best in many ways. Although we are over 1,000 kilometers away from Tokyo, we are always indebted to you.

A very old-fashion ryokan somewhere uphill overseeing a mini-fishing port. A kind of traditional house with a few guest rooms operated by live-in owner. Cannot expect more.
