Hotel is okay even though I am not sure if 3* isn't to much considering that it was very expensive....There was NO Air conditioning which can be very bad in summer, the Hotel is really old and there were lots of stains on the carpet (but it was clean just looked very dirty)All of the batteries in the room ran dry which is something you could check within less than a minute if you wanted to, so I couldn't use the TV and couldn't use all functions of the ventilator, at least it had a physical button to turn on and of .... also as nice as it is to bath together, the private bath is rather small and so insanely hot that it took us at least 20 minutes waiting for the cold water from the shower to cool it down enough to slowly be able to enter 😅if it would have been half the price I'd probably still only give 4* at max ... for the price we paid I think I am really generous with 3*oh also Room was a smoking room and we were not asked if we want smoking or non smoking so I guess they probably don't have nonsmoking rooms but I don't know for sure.(luckily as we are both non smoker it didn't smell a lot so it was okay)

It's old, but it's all you need.I was able to enjoy a nice hot spring. It's a good and cheap hotel if you don't mind going without meals.

I was able to relax in the free-flowing hot springs. It's also good that it's close to the bus terminal.

Good value for the price, based on cost performance. Basically, it's an old inn, so points are deducted for various parts of the building, but they've put in a lot of effort on things other than the building, such as the futons and bath. Please note that the parking lot is small even though it is a little far from the hot spring town. The nearest convenience store is in front of the bus center.

This is my first time in Kusatsu. It was a nostalgic old inn.The price was low in this area, so having a shared toilet and no elevator was unavoidable. The carefully selected futon was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. There are private baths and separate baths for men and women, and they are of a reasonable size.I was very satisfied with the hot water.I think Kusatsu has the best hot springs in Japan.Considering cost performance and being prepared for an old facility, it was a good choice considering the kindness of the gentle host.

The staff who served us had a good atmosphere and were very kind. It's a bit of a walk from Yubatake, but it takes about 4.5 minutes to get there.I was grateful that there was no need to make a reservation for the private bath, and it was easy to use it whenever it was available. The walls of the room are thin and I can hear the voices in the next room...(even though I know it can't be helped)

I used it for 2 nights and 3 days in July. The man who runs the inn is very nice and always takes care to talk to me. It is located in a quiet area, about 4 minutes walk from Yubatake. The main feature is the free-flowing hot spring bath that can be accessed 24 hours a day.I took a private bath many times for free.Kusatsu, which is usually cool, seems to be getting hotter every year, and some inns without air conditioning can get hot during the day, but since I was out most of the time, it wasn't a problem.I felt a little hot after taking a bath, but I slept at night. It was so cool that I slept under a futon. The nearby pork cutlet restaurant recommended by the innkeeper is delicious, so be sure to check it out if you're staying there.I later realized that I would like to use the chiropractic treatment at the inn the next time I come.

I should have stayed in Takamatsu. I don't really recommend it.
