Where to begin … ?After 5 crazy days in Tokyo, i went to Kusastu in order to relax and soak in the thermal hot springs.Staying at Watanoyu Annex was the best decision ever.Miki and her husband run this beautiful establishment (perfect combination of traditional & modern).Miki speaks perfect english and will immediately make you feel warmly welcome.I got lucky enough to get a room facing the river … this relaxing sound would get me to sleep like a baby every night. After visiting all the onsen of Kusatsu, it was always a pleasure to get to the hotel’s onsen for some quiet time before dinner! You would get a fresh set of towel & a yukata (kimono) everyday, as well as a toothbrush & a pair of socks.Finishing with the sauna and cold bath got me so relaxed every time !Miki’s husband will cook the most incredible breakfast & dinner for you ! Some of the most tasty and poetic meal i’ve ever had…The tasting menu will be printed for you ! Such a nice attention !I really enjoyed the tiny flower bouquets in every corner of the hotel. So subtle and poetic. The real japonese elegance !They are really devoted to their business and it shows. I cant wait to come back with my family for some more relax time :)

The employees were always smiling, friendly, kind, and attentive, making my stay very comfortable. They will give you a towel each time you go to a hot spring facility outside. Even when you use the indoor footbath, there are plenty of towels available. They let me use their towels so much that I no longer feel sorry for them. For about a week to 10 days after I got home, my skin was smooth, including my heels, which have hard skin. Every day I rubbed my skin and grinned as I felt it for the first time in my life. My mind and body were very healed. It's close to the west riverbed, so I'm very satisfied with the hot springs.

About the locationAbout 10 minutes walk to Yubatake in the center of Kusatsu.Sainokawara Park is right next to it.The parking lot was far away, so I stopped the car in front of the inn and asked the employee where the parking lot was.About the roomI was able to lie down and relax in the room with tatami mats. The bed and TV were far apart, but the TV was so small that I couldn't watch it while sleeping on the bed.About the bathThere were two types of baths and a sauna water bath.Apparently this is unique to Kusatsu Onsen, but the water temperature was high.About mealsBoth breakfast and dinner were so voluminous that I couldn't finish them all.Because we stayed in early August, the restaurant was extremely hot.It was unpleasant.OverallThere were only a few rooms, and most of the guests seemed to be couples, so it was very quiet and relaxing.

A refreshing trip to Kusatsu Onsen. Click here for many high reviews. Although it is within walking distance from Yubatake, it is a little away from the hustle and bustle, and in front of the Kataoka Tsurutaro Museum and the entrance to Nishi-no-Kawara Onsen, it is a quiet environment rich in nature and where you can hear the sound of the river. It seems that you can park your car in the Kusatsu Hotel parking lot in front of the hotel, but I was hoping that you would be able to take a bath at the Kusatsu Hotel, but it seems like you can't do that. Too bad it's a series🫤The small inn has a simple, modern, designer style. Sweets and barley tea are provided in front of the front desk. There is also a library corner and hot drinks available in the footbath corner. The pudding placed in the room was very delicious. The room was clean and spacious, but there were some problems with the facilities. . . Also, all of the employees were nice, but I would say they were a bit clumsy...There were several mistakes and mistakes.Meals were freshly eaten at the counter facing the window, and the freshly baked eggs at breakfast were delicious. The bath at the inn is small, but since Kusatsu also goes around public baths, I was able to relax and relax whenever I went. You can enjoy two hot springs, ``Bandai Mine'' and the rare ``Wata no Yu,'' and the cloudy Watano Yu water was especially soft and nice. Overall, it was a very fulfilling and refreshing trip, and I'm satisfied with it, but I don't think I'll repeat it. Next time, I would like to stay at a more luxurious and historic inn.
