Visited in October after a year and a halfThe forecast was for a minimum of 10 degrees Celsius, but considering the altitude of the campsite, it could be as high as 5 degrees Celsius, so we packed up blankets, etc. Thanks to that, we were able to see a beautiful sea of clouds the next morning, but the altitude was too high and the sea of clouds was too dark. It's a bit disappointing that it looks far below.Before dinner, I went down the mountain to go to Amano Iwato Onsen, but if I took the regular route, I would have to climb back up many times and it would be about twice the distance. It is better (local cars are given priority and limited to people who have separation skills and an altruistic spirit)By the time we got back to the campsite, the sun had set, and there were field mice on the night road illuminated by headlights? , a hare, and a fawn appeared, and you could feel the great outdoors.When reservations start every year, the sites with the best views are filled up, so it's difficult to secure a spot, but I think it's a high-quality campsite with many people who are used to camping.

Luckily there was a cancellation and I was able to use the No. 6 auto site with a nice view!Early in the morning, I was able to see the sea of clouds for about 30 minutes, but unfortunately it was cloudy so I couldn't see the stars (ノД`)...The best part was that I could hear the chirping of wild birds such as warblers, which was very soothing.The auto site toilets were nearby, and there were Japanese-style and Western-style toilets.It has been kept clean.There was also a multi-purpose toilet.There are showers (hot water available) at each site from 1 to 9.The temperature is around 40℃.After 10, there is one for every two sites.I'm on YouTube, so I'll be releasing it soon! !If you like, please use it as a reference ✨Try searching for Au-chan.

At 1200m above sea level, it is the highest campsite in Kyushu, and if the conditions are right, you can see a sea of clouds.Sites numbered 5 through 10 are particularly popular and fill up as soon as reservations start.Because there is no cancellation fee up to the day before (I think there is no cancellation fee on the day, but I'm not sure, so please check).Reservations fill up quickly because many people say they should make a reservation just in case. I think so.Also, the business period is only Fridays and Saturdays during Golden Week, May, July, August, September, October, and November (until last year they also had reservations in November, but this year there are no reservations for November). I wonder if that's one of the reasons.This time, I had applied for site 5, but two days before I received a notification that the most popular site, site 8, had been canceled, so miraculously I was able to reserve site 8.If you are having trouble finding a popular site, we recommend registering for cancellation notifications.Unfortunately, I couldn't see the sea of clouds due to the cloudy forecast, but I'm glad I was able to take my time at site 8, which was my long-awaited goal ^^After watching other people's videos, I thought it might not be possible to use a very large tent, so I brought a small tent, but there was plenty of room, so a large tent would be fine.For reference.Also, the customer service of the man at the reception was very good ^^The toilets for women were clean, with one Japanese style and two Western style.There are also individual showers (numbers 1 to 10).Unlike other campgrounds, there is no set time for 100 yen, so I was able to take a leisurely shower lol.This is a campsite that I would definitely like to visit again ^^

The scenery, tent sites, and facilities were very good.However, the road to the campsite was steep, maybe it's a problem with Google navigation?The nearest grocery store or gas station is about 15-20 km away.Please note that coming from the Milk Road or Namino direction, you will reach the campsite as a mountain road.

A barrel sauna made of cedar from Miyazaki Prefecture will open at Shikimihara Sukoyakanomori Campsite (from October 6, 2021)!The outdoor sauna experience at an altitude of 1200m is the best.Please enjoy the overwhelming totonoi.You can make reservations from the campsite reservation site ``Nappu.''There are only 3 slots available per day, so hurry!

This campsite is located on the highest mountain in Kyushu, in the northern part of Miyazaki, near the prefectural border of Oita and Kumamoto.Auto sites 1 to 10 have individual showers, but shared shower sites 11 to 16 are also good sites.Since cancellations the day before are free, there are some people who have already secured reservations, so if you check the reservation sites carefully, you may be able to find a good site.I was able to secure site number 8 on my first use.There are no vending machines locally, so it's a good idea to prepare food and drinks in advance.Please be careful as there are many places on the mountain road leading to the campsite where it is very difficult to separate, including passing through the local roads. *Due to road damage and falling rocks, please check the road conditions before driving.There is a high incidence of sea of clouds, and you can enjoy nature more when the weather is slightly unstable than when the weather is nice.It was a campsite where everyone from adults to children could have fun while being exposed to nature.

At the free site, you can load and unload cars 1 to 4 on the top level, but if you want to change cars from the back, the passageway is narrow and the road shoulder is quite bad and steeply sloping, so it is impossible for large minivans and Hiaces (usually the wheels will fall off, and if you force it, it will roll over. )Load and unload as much luggage as possible quickly in the center aisle.Also, the shower rooms are separate for men and women, but for some reason the girls get hot water for free and no coins, and the men's room seemed to stop much earlier than scheduled.There are blocks in the parking space, so you can't drive pegs, so a large 2-room tent will be tough.The scenery is very nice and there is nothing to block the wind, so you can't replenish anything other than firewood and water, so if you're staying multiple nights, make sure to bring plenty of food and drinks up the mountain. lol)

I visited for the first time in about 20 years for work.However, I couldn't go inside, so I thought it was no longer open, but apparently it's open on weekends.There may be some windy days, but I'm sure this facility will give you fond memories.Since I was not able to see the venue, I will give it a 2 star rating.Sorry.✳️Will you get angry?I'll go again when it's open.

These are my impressions from my visit in August.Since it is located at a high altitude of 1200m, it was very cool.This time we set up on free site number 1.Although it is located at the top, the view is hidden by the forest.Previous information said that it was far from the parking lot and that the slope was steep, but the kind manager told us that sites 1 and 2 were accessible by car from the slope in the back past the parking lot to the vicinity of the site and unloading. It was easy to set up since it was only possible to do so.The facilities are old and the toilet is Japanese style.There are 4 showers, but 2 were out of order.When we arrived, the entire site was covered in clouds and it was magical and very cool.There was a thunderstorm in the morning, and we took shelter in our cars and waited for dawn.Generally speaking, there is a gentle breeze and it's comfortable to spend time there, but there are no trees that provide shade, so it felt a little hot during the day.The site has plush grass, is well graded, and has a nice feel, not being too long.Since the soil is soft, I used 30cm forged pegs. It's a little loose, but it's safe as long as it's long enough.The two sites share the same space, separated only by a rope, so please be respectful when using them. Especially since it is windy, you may need to take care to prevent the sparks from the bonfire from flying away.The overall impression is that the scenery is very nice and it's a great campsite in the summer. There is also an athletic event, so I think the whole family can enjoy it as well. The only reason for 4 stars is the age of the toilet and shower.

Well-kept camping ground. The toilets are clean. Tissue is provided. There's a space for washing dishes and there are barbeque pits. This area has electricity so you can use it even at nighttime. 100yen showers are available too. The camping spots at the tent site are very spacious. They are large enough to fit two medium size tents. The location is 200m above sea level so it is pretty cool in summer. I visitied 8/11 and the temperature was around 19 degrees celcius at night.

I came here for the first time in four years in search of a summer resort, but it was unexpectedly hot⤵️The campsite at an altitude of 1200m is a wonderful campsite where you can see a sea of clouds if the time is right.

The location is great. The campground is located at a high altitude and the scenery is very nice. Also, because of the high altitude, the temperature is -5 degrees Celsius, so I think it's comfortable to spend time even in the summer.

A very cool highland campsite.The view is also outstanding.If your timing is right, you can even see a sea of clouds.The road to get here is narrow and there may be falling rocks.It's a long ride, so if you're not good at mountain passes, it might be best not to come.
