The sounds of insects, the sounds of birds, the location, and the atmosphere of the room are all great.There may be some insect infestation, but since it's an old private house, it doesn't bother me, and I think it's something that happens in regular hotels.Some things I noticed are:・I had asthma while I was sleeping (mites? Or it could be something sudden...I don't know)・The hair dryer only gives out cold air (you cannot set your hair)・There are no towels・The child of the family next door was running wild (I think he went to bed around 9:00, so it didn't affect his sleep, but I think the quality of his stay would change depending on the neighbor)Regarding the atmosphere, I would like to stay again next time, but I am afraid of asthma.

As my review, I'm satisfied with this guesthouse. It's another experience than hotel and home. Claim environment with sounds of birds singing. Sometimes, cheering and celebrating of other peoples stay in that place. According to me, If someone is happy, I'm happy too. Good place to stay.

I'm a city dweller, but I think this is an old folk house for people in the countryside. It's perfect for people who like insects and nature, but I don't think it's for city dwellers like me. First of all, there were bees etc. in the parking space.I went in the summer so I don't know about the winter, but there were a lot of insects. However, we have taken measures to prevent them from entering, so even if they do come in, I think it will be no more than mosquitoes. The facilities are shared, but there are showers, kitchens, toilets, etc., so it's pretty well equipped. The room is spacious and has an air conditioner, a fan, and an outlet, so I think it's good.

Avoid, avoid….this place is a doss house. It’s filthy, dark, dank and dilapidated. Outer walls have gaps which let the wind in, making the rooms (partitions) draughty. The walls are paper thin, literally. …

By far my favourite accomodation I've stayed in, in all of Japan. This tradition Japanese Ghibli-esqu guest house is 150 years old and owned by the same family for generations. You will feel transported to a whole new world, away from the big city, you a brought to a small surf town surrounded by beautiful nature scenery and sounds of birds signing you'll feel at peace staying here. As the house is quite old, sound does travel through it easily. I was fortunate enough to only have one other guest staying during my stay whom was only ever around in the evening to sleep. So the complainant from others of too much noise wasn't the same experience I had.
