I saw this inn when I passed through Naoetsu Station on the local line, and I had been thinking of staying there someday, but when I finally had the chance to stay there, I decided to visit it.The appearance, facilities, and construction have a retro Showa feel, which I think will be irresistible to people who like them.I like that kind of thing like most people, so I was excited from the time I checked in until I went to my room. So, I don't really care if the equipment is old or broken, but I don't mind the rules of the inn (Many of the notices inside the building and in the rooms say etiquette). It's tough, so if you're indifferent to that kind of thing, it might be a little tough, and I'm sure you'll feel suffocated. If I'm prepared to scold you, what I've been presented with is not general etiquette, but just the inn's own rules, and I think this is the only one that's a little different.First of all, as others have commented, you can only take a bath or shower once, as there is a rule that the provided bath towels must be left in the changing room after use. I was told that it was because the room was humid, but for some reason there was a towel rack in the room, which made me feel like a double standard.I'm the kind of person who takes a bath in the summer as a matter of course, but also wants to take a shower in the morning, so after some hesitation, I decided to just take a bath and gave up.Also, there seems to be Wi-Fi, but it's slower than the old analog modem, I wish it was the latest instead of Showa retro (lol)Also, you are required to take home any trash you bring in with you or return it to the store where you bought it, which is surprising or rather confusing.Since I was staying overnight without meals, I unknowingly bought a lot of things for late night snacks and breakfast the next day, and when I got home I was completely pale. The store I bought it from is a little far away, and the entrance is locked at night, so I can't go out and there's nothing I can do to return it.It's hot at this time of year, so you really want something to drink, but there's only one vending machine at the inn, and that one has been turned off to save electricity, so if you need one, you can ask the inn staff to give it to you. Because of the system, even if I get thirsty in the middle of the night, I can't go shopping, and I can't get anyone to take me out of the store.I'm a little worried about my health, but I wish they could at least keep the drink vending machines running. I think it was good.I feel that this is an inn that is suitable for people who stay at this hotel, for better or for worse, such as highly conscious people who are broadly interested in SDGs, and people who can laugh at the troubles and inconveniences of their travels.

I used it during the Obon holidays. First of all, it is very cheap at around 7000 yen including breakfast ◎ The location is good ◎I thought the building, rooms, and structure were very old, but they were well-maintained and clean. The first thing I felt was that it was very hot in the hallway and the room due to the deadline, so I wish they would have turned on the air conditioner before the check-in time. Also, for some reason I was asked to take my trash home with me about four times, which made me feel uncomfortable. Is there a parking lot for 2 cars? After that, customers will have to park at a nearby coin parking lot at their own expense.

It was a tatami room with a bed. There is no toilet in your room, so you have to go to the shared toilet. I could hear the sounds from the hallway coming from my room, so I was concerned about the sounds of other people opening and closing doors and washing their hands when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There is only one outlet, so be careful if you have devices that need charging. There is only a few parking spaces at the inn, so you will have to park in the paid parking lot next to the inn. Therefore, the actual accommodation fee plus overnight parking fee is 800 yen. On the other hand, since Naoetsu Station is right nearby, I think it is a well-located inn for train users.

I stayed there without doing any research, and it was just as bad as everyone's reviews said.If the customer service is bad or the rules are strict, then again, the plant was different from the one I booked.Even if some things can't be helped in a family business, there are limits...I had booked an 8-10 tatami room with a toilet on the reservation site, but I was given a 4.5 tatami room without a toilet, and because there were many families there, I was forced to take bath time.If you cannot find another hotel, it is safer to change the area where you are staying.

I stayed there one day before the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen while taking a photoshoot trip and prioritized accommodation costs. As someone who works in the travel industry and sells hotels etc. to customers, I would like to recommend some things that I do not recommend.I won't be using it again in the future. Camping in the field will be a more enjoyable trip.・Even though I called in advance if I was going to be late for check-in, they didn't respond well. And a series of abusive words. I thought about going back to the city of Naoetsu where there was a blizzard. In the ensuing conversation, when I mentioned the word "photo shooting," his attitude suddenly changed and he yelled and left.・The building is old. Full of retro feel. The service is at the level of a guesthouse, and you will feel at home in the room. However, soundproofing is not suitable as it picks up voices from neighboring rooms.・I get the impression that the cleaning is thorough. I think there is a strong sense of acceptance.

Used for one night during Golden Week in May 2024Maybe it was because I was late in looking for accommodation. There are few hotels with vacant rooms near the destination.I couldn't choose to stay overnight without meals. From Rakuten TravelHalf meal/crab and seasonal fish includedShared bus/with toilet2 adultsTotal 25,600 yen (tax included)Thank you for your help here. After making a reservation, I saw the low reviews on Google.I was a little worriedI didn't know until I went, so I decided to go ahead with it.◆LocationIt's right after you cross the signal at the place where you can see it as soon as you exit the station.◆StaffSome people wrote about the response of the landlady. It may have improved since then, but I didn't have a particularly bad impression.About the staff who are not the landladyI dare to writeThe elderly woman was happy that she ate the fish (grilled sea bream) beautifully. The young woman also responded very warmly and politely.◆Meal (location)We had our meals in the dining room.It was a room with 3 tables for 3 to 4 people.I think there was a window facing what appeared to be a courtyard. It felt a little crampedIt was separated by an accordion curtain. It seems that the next room was a front room.Male voices were coming in normally. The number of rooms should not be 3.There may be another dining room.◆MealsHe said the rice was Koshihikari rice from Uonuma. There was a rice cooker, and you were free to refill or refill. The fish was sea breamMore than what I saw in the Rakuten Travel photoThe variety of sashimi was decreasing. It was delicious☆There was a set of teapots with tea bags included.I couldn't really taste it (lol)◆BathI think it's a family bath style. When I checked in, they said, ``If it's empty, you can come in,'' so I thought I was going to rent it out. There was a sign saying "Please do not lock the door," so I used it without locking the door.He came in by himself while my mother was still soaking in the bathtub, so it may not be possible to use it for private use.If you are interested, we recommend that you inquire first.*2 showers, bathtub enough for 2 adults*Soap, body soap, conditioner shampoo bottle, 2 washbasins, 2 bath chairs◆RoomI went up some very steep stairs and was shown to a room on the second floor. There is an old-fashioned telephoneWith a loud and long ring comparable to an alarm clockYou will receive a message that your meal is ready (lol)*Morning and eveningThere was a note asking us to dispose of the trash we brought in ourselves. It was a room with a toilet, but about 20 to 30 centimeters from the ceiling was a transparent glass or panel.Maybe it's connected to the next room? It looked like*I don't think it's a mirror because you can see the lighting fixtures and the wall pattern is different from here. There are two windows, but one was so hard that I couldn't unlock it, and the sliding door on the other one was loose so I couldn't open it all the way, but I was able to open it a little.◆Wi-FiThere were instructions for passwords etc.Maybe I made a mistake here, but no matter how many times I entered it, it didn't connect.*I should have told the hotel and went home, but I forgot (sweat)◆ReviewsI realized once again that reviews are amazing in many ways.Go or not based on everyone's experienceI'm grateful that I can choose

2024.3.26I was worried about the bad reviews on Google, but after staying there, I understood why.The landlady is basically kind. I think many decisions are being made due to kindness and because they are too old to take the time.I think opinions will be divided depending on whether you think it's not a big deal since you're staying here, or whether you think it's an unpleasant accommodation with a lot of restrictions. It is definitely not recommended for people who mainly stay at accommodations with generous services, such as hotels or decent inns. I don't think there will be any problems if you prefer self-service accommodation such as bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, and old inns. The nodoguro I had for dinner was fatty and delicious. The hostess complimented me on how well I ate the food.I wish the price was a little lower.

It's not that bad. It's natural that inns and guesthouses have less freedom than hotels, so I don't worry about that. Both of them are so friendly, and I feel like they made me worry about them instead. If I were a heavy drinker, it would be hard for me to have an early curfew, but that's about it.Everyone, please keep in mind that customers are not gods.I will stay again

When the hostess checked in, she spoke in a commanding tone, and at that point I regretted making the reservation.I felt very bad. .Even though I was tired, I entered the room with such an attitude and a terrible feeling.Considering the facilities, there are no hotels nearby, so the prices are high, and the rooms are quite old.Anyway, the attitude from above made me feel bad and I probably won't stay there again. When I asked to leave my baggage there until the train time the next day, they asked me to leave it there...and they told me to take it with me, and they didn't seem to want to leave it with me at all.I was stunned. There's no way you can take home the trash from a bag you brought in after eating in your room, even though you're being charged a room fee.
