An exceptional stay at Onpoint Madarao! Justin and Kaori were incredibly welcoming hosts, ensuring our comfort throughout our visit. The rooms were lovely, spacious, and impeccably clean, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of adventures. The common areas were cozy and well-appointed, perfect for unwinding with fellow guests. If you enjoy craft beers, the in house vending machine's selection is very well curated. A slight apology for perhaps enjoying it a tad too much. Overall, a wonderful experience deserving of five stars!

My recent stay at Onpoint Madarao exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality from Justin (our host) that set the tone for an wonderful experience.Onpoint pays real attention to people like us that ski hard all day. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated, providing the perfect blend of comfort and charm. We particularly enjoyed unwinding by the fireplace in the evenings, savouring a G & T while reliving the day's runs with other guests and extracting all local knowledge from Justin and Kaori.Justin was also more than happy too assist with ski rentals to providing valuable local tips and recommendations, and he and Kaori went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Their genuine passion for hospitality truly shines through, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.Of course, must mention the food. The lodge's restaurant served up delicious home cooked meals crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients by Kaori. A variable hearty breakfast was on offer before hitting the slopes, and traditional , beautifully presented dinners were available (if not eating out) after a day of skiing. Every meal was superb. Our stay Madarao Lodge was exceptional. We will definitely be back! If you're considering a ski getaway in Madarao, look no further than Onpoint Lodge – you won't be disappointed!

We found ourselves at Onpoint for Days 13 - 18 of riding in Japan... What an excellent choice - The warmth, hospitality, great food and general comfort level were just what we needed to keep soldiering on.Justin makes a great Negroni and you must try Kaori's homemade Cola ( with Vodka )As we have dogs at home, we really enjoyed the two dogs company at night. You can't ask for more helpful hosts ...we did create some drama with our two wheel drive ...Oops... Dumb AussiesThe mountain itself .... whilst we had spring conditions we can see the MadaPOW potential. ( Since then its puked down )The TV Room is huge and added to our experience to support our Tokyo Vice binge. No questions will be back and possibly in summer for a golfing / hiking trip. The smiles in the goodbye photo tell it allTalis and Simon

Don't stay at Onpoint Madarao unless you want to have the time of your life. The rooms are cozy, the food is delicious and Justin and Kaori are the nicest hosts you'll ever meet.In my nine years in Japan I have not come across another Hotel where the passion of the hotel owners so clearly translates into their product. Faced with the alternatives of an anonymous hotel filled with large travel groups - or renting a cold, empty AirBnb - Onpoint is the perfect blend of convenience and a real experience in the mountains.Highlights include:- Snowshoe hikes to the lake in the forest behind the hotel- Watching freeride documentaries in the cozy TV room- Riding abandoned ski resorts in the area with Justin- Delicious, always changing breakfasts and dinners- Coming home to a cozy fire and adding logs myself- Playing Monopoly Deal for hours every night- Walking home from the bars through the snow .. somehow

We loved our time at Onpoint with Justin, Kaori, Tito & Juno. Fantastic hospitality, service and local knowledge. Onpoint lodge was a perfect place to stay for our family of four. We skied and explored by day and relaxed by the warm cosy fired at night. Kaori’s dinners were delicious and Justin’s breakfast was a perfect way to start our day. We can’t wait to return. Thank you JKT&J

Stayed at Onpoint for 3 nights and couldn't speak more highly of the place.Justin and Kaori were exceptional hosts. They have done an amazing job and making a place that is both "homely" for their guests, but also providing a service commensurate to a high end hotel. The food at the accomodations is amazing. We were very impressed by the pickled eatables which were all made and prepared by Kaori - can't wait for the cook book to come out.Highly recommend this property as a base for a longer trip. It's easily accessible to near by mountains. Look forward to seeing Justin and Kaori in the near future.Vin
