Truly one of the enjoyable hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious. Beds and bedding very warm and comfortable. I had a good view of the town from the room. The shared facilities were surprisingly luxurious. …

My stay at this ryokan was absolutely delightful, extending over four nights. The experience was so remarkable that I am already planning my next visit. Nestled in a serene part of the town, this ryokan is a haven for those seeking peace and an opportunity to immerse themselves in the local scenery. The location is perfect for leisurely strolls, allowing one to absorb the charming atmosphere of the town. One of the most appealing aspects of this ryokan is its proximity to a variety of attractions. Everything you need or want to explore is conveniently close by. The town itself is dotted with a plethora of exquisite restaurants, each offering a unique and delicious culinary experience. Food lovers will find themselves spoilt for choice with the array of delectable local cuisine available within walking distance. The dining experience at the ryokan itself was a highlight of our stay. Both the dinner and breakfast served were exemplary, showcasing the best of traditional Japanese cuisine with a touch of home-cooked warmth. The meals were not only a feast for the taste buds but also for the eyes, beautifully presented and prepared with utmost care.A feature of the ryokan that stood out to me was the private bath facilities. These baths provided a secluded and tranquil setting, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. The experience of soaking in the warm waters, with the quiet around you, is truly therapeutic and adds to the overall peaceful ambiance of the ryokan. The ryokan is a family-run establishment, and this is reflected in the exceptional level of hospitality we received. The owners were extraordinarily kind and accommodating, making us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile for their guests was heartwarming and greatly appreciated.Additionally, the ryokan offers ample parking space, which is a significant convenience for those traveling by car. The accessibility of the ryokan is noteworthy – it's easy to locate and reach, making the journey there stress-free and straightforward. In conclusion, this ryokan is a gem of a find for travelers seeking a blend of tranquility, comfort, and authentic Japanese hospitality. Its charming location, exquisite dining, private bathing facilities, and the warmth of its owners all combine to create an unforgettable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this ryokan to anyone looking to explore this beautiful town and its surroundings.

It was our first time to Nozawaonsen after hearing so many good reviews about that ski town. After checking into Azegamikan, we were directed to the clean and traditional Japanese room. …

Lovely, quiet and cozy hotel. Hosts are kind, friendly people who take great pride in presenting such a clean, beautiful place. Short walk to the escalator to the Hikage gondola, Sotoyu onsen and the outdoor cooking springs. Just a bit further will put you in the centre of town. Wonderful!

Very nice quiet little hotel. The hosts are very lovely accommodating people. We got lost coming here at a random little train station and had trouble getting a taxi so we rang the hotel too ask them to book us one, instead the host came and picked us up! They also helped us with catching the correct buses when we left.We stayed in a western style room and it was very warm and the bed was super comfortable. I will certainly return here again.Thank you!

The entire inn was full of consideration and felt like it was well-maintained and well-managed. I stayed in a room without a toilet or sink, but the shared toilet and sink space was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Ample amenities are also provided. Perhaps because there are only a few rooms, it was quiet and not crowded, so I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. However, I think the charm of this inn is the breakfast and evening meals. There was plenty of variety and volume, all of the dishes were carefully prepared, and all of them were delicious. I must have eaten too much, but it had a lot of vegetables and felt healthy, and strangely I didn't feel heavy after eating, and on the contrary, I felt like I was feeling better. I was really impressed with how well they used the vegetables. It was very delicious. I would love to try this dish again. It was a stay where I was very satisfied with everything.I gave 4 stars only for the service, but this is because the bath was not a hot spring. There is a 24-hour shower room and a private bathroom that can be rented out by the hour, and the waterfall is just a stone's throw away from the inn, so it's not an inconvenience at all, but it would be great if you could take a hot spring bath without leaving the inn. I gave it 4 stars because of Tana.

Plan to stay overnight without meals to go to Nozawa Onsen. There were plenty of amenities. Reservations are required for the bath at the inn, and you can rent a bathing set when you go to the outside bath. Thank you very much. You can see the sea of clouds from the dining room.
