All the staff were very kind and I could feel their efforts towards the customers everywhere. The hot springs as well as the food were all very delicious. The room was a compact Japanese-style room, but it didn't feel small and was comfortable. It was a beautiful room that was well kept.It was my first time at Nozawa Onsen, and I have very fond memories. thank you very much.

Famous ryokan in Nozawa OnsenI visited with high expectations, but...The bath building is nice, but the indoor bath is not as big as I expected, which is a bit disappointing. The food was elaborately prepared, but the taste was not good. Most of the outdoor baths at Nozawa Onsen that I was looking forward to are too hot to enter.

This is the only 4-star inn in Nozawa Onsen, but honestly I think it's less than 3 stars.I stayed here because there were many good reviews, but I was surprised at how bad it was. After checking in and explaining, we took our luggage to the elevator, so it was nice that they took it with us, but I was surprised that they tried to put our luggage directly on the elevator floor. .It's not a suitcase.I panicked and grabbed it with my hands. Moreover, the luggage of the customer who was checking in behind me was taken to the room using a cart.I'm sure the customer had some reason for that, but they should at least stop carrying it in front of other customers. I feel a little sick.Dinner was delicious. They even put a second helping of white rice in the ohitsu. What surprised me was the breakfast.I was looking forward to the all-you-can-eat option of yam rice, white rice, and porridge, but to my surprise, I was told that I had to call an extension (phone number) to get a refill. This is the first time at a ryokan that you have to call each time to get a refill. The side dish was a small grilled fish. There was almost no body, it was flimsy and full of bones. Also, is it a commercially available product? A parade of tsukudani and pickles.I can understand a cheap inn that costs 10,000 yen per person per night, but it costs 55,000 yen per night for two people.I was shocked at how cheap the breakfast was.And the final blow was that when I looked at the bill at checkout, I had only ordered one small side dish for dinner, but I had ordered three. I was charged three times as much money. When I called after I got home, I was told that the difference would be sent by registered mail tomorrow, so I waited, but almost a week later, I still haven't received the registered mail. When I called to confirm, the answer was that they had passed it on to accounting. I can't believe I'm forgotten.I'm speechless.Either we had no connection to this inn, or perhaps since the owner became the 18th generation, he has cut corners and adopted a sloppy management policy.I like hot spring inns and have stayed at many places, but this is my first time at a place like this.

The food is absolutely delicious. You could say that this is the whole point of being worth coming here. The quality of the hot spring water is soft sulfur spring.Parking lot and rooms are small. Nozawa Onsen Town is a small area with souvenir shops and inns crowded together, so it may not be possible to build a large area.

This inn is large for Nozawa Onsen, and has modern management. A long-established store that has continued for 18 generations. A multi-purpose hotel that can be used by a small group of people to a family of three generations. The service is a bit manual in some places, but overall it's smart. It's nothing unusual these days, but there are many foreign employees working in the food service department. The building is shaped like a courtyard surrounding a courtyard with a pond that utilizes the difference in elevation and a stream, and the garden can be seen from all directions, including the lobby. It is a well-kept garden. The building is basically old, but the prominent parts have a modern design. However, the structure of the room is old. It's on a hill, and the rooms are on the upper floors, so the view is good.Meals are served semi-private style. For dinner, there were many dishes that failed in their attempts to express individuality, and there was no sense of unity. The breakfast was meager, with only small bowls of pickled vegetables, and dried horse mackerel that had been dried overnight had only skin and bones. Personally, I don't place much emphasis on food, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for that. The hot springs are self-sourced. The quality of the hot springs itself is not much different from other hot springs in Nozawa. However, it is a wooden structure that seems to have been handcrafted by a shrine carpenter, and has a wonderful charm. And wide. There are also three bathtubs with different temperatures. This is a nice idea in Nozawa, where the hot water is very hot. The fresh, tangy hot water typical of Nozawa is the hottest type of bath, but few people generally enjoy soaking in it.It is one of the few luxury inns in Nozawa, and there are some areas where I am dissatisfied, but I think it's worth the price. Overall, I wouldn't say it's the best option in Nozawa, but it's a solid option.Personally, I don't like big-box inns, so I'll leave Nozawa for another inn, but I'll probably visit again.

I ordered breakfast, but it was terrible.I had a chance to talk to other guests who had dinner at the hotel, and they said it was so simple that it made them angry. If you really want to stay overnight, we recommend staying overnight without meals. What's even more unbearable is what happens when a centipede appears in your room. There was nothing we could do to exterminate it, so I called the front desk to ask them to exterminate it, and a staff member came even though it was late at night, but it ran out of the room.Afterwards, the staff member said, ``I don't think he'll come again, so it's okay,'' but I didn't know what he was basing this on, and I thought it was a random comment. In the end, an hour later, the centipede came into the room again and the staff had to deal with it again. This time I caught him, but I was taken aback by his frank explanation: ``It's summer and the facility is in the mountains, so there's nothing we can do about it.''When I checked out, I wrote the details of this incident in the questionnaire, but I received no response.I can't understand what's going on.I felt so bad that I would never stay there again, and I would never recommend it to any of my friends.

This was my fourth visit, twice with my bad son, once with my elderly parents, and this time by myself. As it was the rainy season in June, there were very few foreign visitors, so I was able to spend a relaxing time in the overall calm atmosphere. This time, we had a plan that included breakfast, so we had a drink at a nearby izakaya in the evening (lol). The dinner at the inn was very delicious, so I had a hard time making a decision, but since I was alone, this plan might have been a good idea. For breakfast, you can choose white rice, porridge, or yam rice, but if you can't decide, we recommend yam.Sakaya-san is next to Nozawa Oyu, so you can enjoy both hot springs without any worries, but Sakaya-san's large public bath has a wonderful atmosphere. You can forget about everything in the world and just relax.Everyone at the hotel was always pleasant and kind, and I was able to enjoy my stay with peace of mind. It's a famous hotel that is difficult to make reservations for, but I often check the vacancy calendar and adjust my schedule to one that is available. It will definitely be a trip worth the hassle!
