[UTO Karasuto]Only the exterior and the view from the terrace deck are good.It can accommodate up to 20 people, so there is plenty of bed space, but it might be best for up to 10 people. There are beds and futons, so you can feel like you're at a training camp. The sea view from the terrace deck was beautiful.◇CleaningI was told that they were cleaning it, but it was dirty. The furniture was not checked properly, and the leg of the sofa was broken when I used it, so if I hadn't noticed it, I might have been charged for damage. There are a lot of dead insects in the lighting, and they're coming in the shadows (obviously they haven't been treated for a few days). Many of the dishes were missing, and cooking pots and other items had not been thoroughly washed, and there was still soot left over from the BBQ, which made my hands dirty.I'm glad my hands weren't dirty, but I might have gotten some soot stains on my clothes, which is really bad.◇EquipmentThere aren't many colors. There are no chopsticksToo small for the number of people who can stay.It is best to bring something that can be disposed of, such as disposable paper plates.◇OutletAn extension cord is required as it is not near the bed in the bedroom. There are many electrical outlets in difficult to use places.◇RoadYou'll be climbing up a narrow road with a fairly steep slope (nearly 45 degrees), so be careful if your car doesn't have enough horsepower as it may slip due to the rain.◇InsectsIt's located in a mountain with a view of the ocean (with thick vegetation), so there are insects. However, please note that there is no mention of this on the website. When you look at the photos on the website, it looks like an open and comfortable space, but in reality it's overgrown and doesn't look like it's been well-maintained.There is a large number of stink bugs this year (2024), but there is no announcement until we enter the facility. They will come into your room and even be in the bathroom, so be careful if you can't handle it.Insects that have entered the room are left untreated using the excuse of a large infestation.◇PoolI haven't put it in, but the vegetation around the pool is so thick that I can't see the ocean while I'm in the pool.◇TerraceThe scenery is nice. However, as mentioned above, it is an insect festival from spring to autumn, so if you turn on the lights, a lot of insects will come to you.It sticks to the window and falls like nuts on the floor. It would be crazy if we had a BBQ...◇BathThere are two. Insects are common (even though we haven't opened the window once since we got the key and entered)Stink bugs are resistant to water, so they won't come off in the shower.Amenities looked goodSome of the hair dryers were broken (I know they didn't check them)In addition to not being able to control the temperature here, one of the two baths was not boiling and could not be used this time. The service is only available until 9pm, so there is no flexibility. The way the lock is locked is too special and there is no explanation, which is unhelpful. This time I stayed without meals, so I don't know about the dining area, but if you plan to use the restaurant during the warm season with BBQ, you should be careful of various things.I didn't have a good impression of the management staff who made excuses every time I called or spoke to them.

The day before I was supposed to use it, it was decided that the Shinkansen would be suspended due to a typhoon, so I canceled it. As per the hotel's regulations, there was a 100% cancellation fee the day before. There were similar reviews at affiliated inns, so I understood that this was the company's policy. However, they didn't say anything that considered our feelings, and they said that even though the Shinkansen stopped, the conventional line was still running, that it was close (5 hours by Shinkansen), that the weather was nice here, etc., etc., which doesn't seem like a hotel business. I don't think I'll ever use it again in my behavior.

I made a reservation on the day a typhoon hits the Kanto region during the Obon holiday. We stayed at Karasuto with 9 people including children. Based on the reviews, my first concern was whether I would be able to climb the slope to the facility on a rainy day. I checked with the front desk in advance and was told that if I couldn't make it to the top, there was a parking lot at the bottom of the hill where I could park my car and the facility's car would take me to the top. I tried it once, but found that it was slippery after about 10m, so I backed down and called the front desk. Since there were a lot of people, everyone except the driver was sent to the facility's car, and the driver was able to safely climb the mountain in his own car. It seems that the new VOXY was able to slowly climb up hills without stopping in low gear. The villa itself was well kept and although I was worried about the weather, Suruga Bay was calm and I was able to enjoy the private pool and BBQ outside. Also, based on the reviews, I prepared all the tableware and seasonings, so I didn't feel too inconvenienced, and there were several mats in the changing room along with towels. I didn't. The reasons why I couldn't give 5 stars are the slope during rainy weather, the difficulty of locking the front door of Karasuto, and the fact that I called the front desk several times to check on the typhoon from a few days ago, but they didn't answer. . Other than that, I want to go again (when it's sunny)! It was a place that made me think.

The accommodation is luxurious and the location is great, so I think it would be great on a sunny day. However, on rainy days, you have to drive your car up a life-threatening hill.A narrow road, a surprisingly steep slope, and a slippery path covered in moss. On my VOXY, the tires slipped and I couldn't climb the mountain, and smoke came out of the tires.I had no choice but to park my car in the middle of the slope and try to climb the slope with my large luggage and toddler, but even with my sneakers I slipped and couldn't climb the slope. In the heavy rain, I had a scary feeling that my life was in danger. Here's where you'll be surprised.Even though I told the staff about the situation over the phone, they didn't come to help me at all, and I had to yell at them for several minutes before they finally took action, so I felt the service was at the lowest level. What's more, it's surprising that the person I'm dealing with is not just a staff member, but a top manager. If the weather is good, it will be a great trip, but be prepared for accidents on rainy days. Other people have written reviews, but this inn has been neglected for three years. If there are no problems, I won't interact with the staff, so I think it's best in that case, but please be careful.

It was helpful that there were cooking utensils such as dishes.I couldn't cut my knife at all, so I needed a whetstone. The garbage can in the BBQ area was obviously heavy with something inside and was not empty. (I was too scared to open the lid)

First of all, the balcony where we used to BBQ was full of dead stink bugs. There are about 10 to 20 carcasses and we need to start cleaning them up. Also, when I tried to have a BBQ, the BBQ set was broken and wouldn't start, and when I contacted them, they said, ``It seems like that happens sometimes...'' and they seemed to know that the BBQ set was broken. I ended up using Chukkaman, but since the person on the other end of the phone was from a foreign country, I had no idea how to put it on. In the end, I was able to put it on by myself, but it ran out of gas quickly since it was low on gas to begin with. So we called again and decided to install new gas ourselves. Since they told us what time they would arrive, I wish they had cleaned up the carcass, refilled the gas, and replaced the BBQ set with a new one. It would be fine if you were staying at a cheap price, but the service was terrible at this price.

I won't write about specific improvements because there are so many things I'm dissatisfied with that it's a pain.Overall, it was a high-priced, low-service (and equipment) inn that didn't have enough hospitality to touch.
