A guest house that is a renovated old folk house.About 7 minutes walk from Tokamachi Station. I enjoyed the hospitality and stories of the unique and powerful proprietress. The egg-cooked rice we had for breakfast on the deck while looking at the view was the best.

I have visited Tokamachi many times because I have a friend from my school days there. Since my work schedule was suddenly decided, the several hotels I had been staying at were all fully booked, so I looked for one of the few accommodations in the city. The one I was most interested in was the Exchange Hall. I made a reservation right away. The reservation completion email and instructions were smooth and reassuring. On the day, I left my car there before checking in and walked to the station. A few minutes walk makes for a nice walk. This is a private inn built in a snowy country style and looks old at first glance, but it has been renovated and has plenty of facilities for lodging. The room, bath, and restroom are all clean and beautiful. This time I was in a room with a bed, but it was fluffy and I slept comfortably. What you can look forward to is a breakfast full of natural ingredients, including Koshihikari rice from Uonuma, special miso, and locally produced fertilized eggs, which are very delicious and satisfying.I have already made reservations for the next art festival.I would also like to use the attached Miharashi Cafe next time.thank you very much.

Use the cafe. You can't see the parking lot on Google Maps, but it's right in front of the store. The old house was kept very clean, including the interior. The veggie curry was delicious.Looking at the posts on social media, it seems that the garnishes and ingredients for the vegetable curry change depending on the time of year you go.Looks like you'll have fun no matter when you go.If I was nearby, I'd go every day, but it's only open a few days a week.It is better to check the business days on Instagram in advance. The road in front of the store is narrow, so please drive carefully.

Use the cafe during lunch time. The cookie on top of the tiramisu may vary depending on the day!Sweet potato cookies are so deliciousThe cookies on top are sold next to the cash register for 180 yen per bag (contains 4 pieces).I think it was a rice flour cookie. They provide healthy and delicious meals.I think the daily lunch was 850 yen? It’s kind to your body and your wallet 😌Although I didn't order it, they also have a curry lunch. This is 1000 yen.We also sell additive-free foods. It feels like home, you can relax, and it's very comfortable!Rumor has it that Zashiki Warashi is also there! He also said that Naniwa from Johnny's came during a break between filming a movie😍

I stayed here for 6 nights while exploring the art installations in the area. Some of the rooms have a fantastic view of the rice fields. Every season is different. My room had a view of the rice fields just before harvest time so it was magical! The best is to enjoy the view from the terrace during breakfast! The breakfast is simple but very delicious because they choose many fresh local ingredients including organic ones to make the meals. The staffs are very helpful in making your stay a comfortable one.Consider staying around at the guesthouse in the daytime just chilling. You might be able to interact with the locals because they operate a café that serves as a community center for their neighbors. I found it one of the highlights of the stay to be able to interact with the locals!

One night stay with breakfast included. Wooden buildings are really nice. I don't like dinner at inns, so I feel like this is the best option. The morning mist from the terrace is magical. However, you won't be able to get there using a navigation system, so please check the email for directions when making a reservation.

I used it alone on a business trip. The staff's response was not mechanical like that of a business hotel, but I felt the warmth of home.I think I want to go again.
