Asahi is awesome. This is a campsite where you can spend a comfortable time by the sea.

I visited Golden Week by motorcycle and stayed for 2 nights.It's located along Isabi Road, and there's a vertical blue sign at the entrance, so it's easy to find.Each section is assigned a number, and at check-in you will be asked about the size of the tent and whether or not there is a tarp, and then assigned a number. If there are multiple vacancies, you can choose the one you want. In my case, I was able to choose a spot where I could see the sea from inside my tent. It seems like they accept reservations up to the limit of capacity, and the intervals between the numbers are quite tight. Conversations inside the tent can be heard by neighboring tents.Cars and motorcycles are allowed and can be attached directly to the tent.I get the impression that the ratio of overnight campers and day campers is about 50/50.The campsite is located on a ridge above the beach, and there are no fences between it and the beach, so you can feel free to stroll along the beach. You can also see people fishing and strolling along the beach.Since the ground is sandy, it is better to bring tent pegs with some length. I don't think the thin pegs that often come with tents will work.You can buy firewood at the reception, but there is plenty of driftwood on the beach, so it's a good idea to check out the driftwood on the beach before buying firewood.If the next day is a holiday, there will be many overnight guests, and there will be a lot of motorbikes coming and going until night, so it doesn't feel quiet at night. Even in the early morning, I wake up to the sound of my bike warming up. That was the only disappointing thing. By the way, is it next to this campsite? There seems to be another campsite (on the Toyama City side).There is no dish detergent in the washing area, so it is better to bring your own detergent.It may be strange to have a washing area with sliding glass door entrances facing each other on both sides, but when you wash your clothes at night, you feel someone watching you from somewhere. This washroom is a little scary.There is a Lawson store within 5 minutes by car, so shopping is not a problem.There are two Japanese-style flush toilets, similar to those placed at construction sites. It's not particularly dirty.

A campsite in a pine forest facing the seaside beach. Basically sandy ground, but pegs are effective. If you are camping solo, the bike costs 1,500 yen per night. There is a kitchen with lighting, but the toilets are only temporary. All trash must be taken home. They also sell firewood for bonfires, but there was an endless supply of driftwood lying on the sandy beach.The view of the Tateyama mountain range from the coast is wonderful.

I could faintly see Mt. Tateyama, which was not visible due to the rainy weather at the roadside station!

It's a very well-maintained campground with beautiful scenery, including toilets, shower rooms, and a kitchen. One of the things I look forward to is talking with the manager's father.

The price seems high compared to nearby campgrounds, but it is well maintained and the scenery is very nice.You can ride a bike or car to get close to the site, so it is recommended for people who have a lot of luggage.There is a road nearby, but there is not a lot of traffic, so you can spend the whole day quietly. It is also recommended for solo users.

I stayed for one night on October 17, 2020.Matsudae Nagahama (sandy beach about 3km from Shimao Coast to Matsudaehama), located northwest of Amaharashi Coast along Toyama Bay, is a famous spot that has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches. A sandy beach with beautiful white sand and a natural windbreak of green pines. If the weather is good, you can see the majestic Tateyama mountain range.The campsite is located diagonally across from Himi Seaside Botanical Garden along Isaribi Road in Matsuda Ehama.I came here because the Amaharashi Coast Campground (free of charge) is overcrowded and the number of campers with bad manners and wild foreign campers is increasing.The old man who runs the facility is a very kind and quiet person...The equipment is relatively old, but he cleans and maintains it frequently. The check-in was at 12:00, but I arrived too early, but I was able to check in after 8:00.A plan for two people including one night + 2nd day day camp until the evening costs about 5,000 yen.The beach side sites are all auto sites and are divided into large sections, so each site can enjoy the feeling of a private beach in a relaxed manner. On this day, there were about 4 groups, and it seemed to be relatively empty all the time.Open fires are prohibited and bonfires are only allowed in the U-shaped groove provided, but you may use a bonfire stand if you can lay down a spatter sheet to prevent ash from getting mixed with the sandy beach and take all the ash home with you.To set up, we drove from the reception desk and headed towards the back in the direction of the arrows in the guide.We found a moderately dense pine windbreak forest, and ended up in section 12, which was open toward Shirahama.Great location along the sandy beach!There is a sense of superiority, privacy, openness, and security that cannot be compared to the chaotic rainy weather coast.There is also a Lodge ➕ Hiroba site on the opposite side of Isabi Road.This is my second time here, but the last time I came in the summer, the wind was so strong that it hit 7 m/s and I had to give up on section 12...I was thinking about going back home.The manager immediately started mowing the grass and in about 30 minutes had the restrooms and water area in good condition and led us to the Lodge➕ Plaza site. Thanks to this, we were able to protect ourselves from the wind and set up safely.He is a kind manager who doesn't talk much. I like his personality and keep coming back.

I stayed in a camper for one night.Perhaps it was the manager's personality, but it was a very clean and comfortable campsite. As everyone has written, it was so peaceful and luxurious to be right next to the ocean, listening to the sound of the waves, and looking out at the ocean without worrying about the time. The scenery was beautiful both day and night, and the sounds of insects were soothing. Are there not many facilities? That's what I thought when I went there, but I didn't have any problems as I could rent BBQ equipment. There was no bath, but there was a bath shop nearby. The manager was kind and I had a good time.
