It was used by 4 people: 2 adults, 1 elementary school student, and 1 infant. The building seems to have been built in the Meiji period, so it is quite old.The structure is from that time, so the soundproofing properties are low.You can hear noises from the next room and walking in the hallway. It didn't bother me, but some people might. The toilet is shared. It's kept very clean. It was very quiet at night and the stars looked beautiful. The evening meal was also delicious. The landlady was also very attentive. As other people have written in their reviews, the miso soup was excellent. I had 3 refills. It had a very mild taste. All around us are fields and mountains as far as the eye can see.It was very relaxing to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

The host's response was very polite. The room and bathroom felt dated, but they were equipped with air conditioning, a TV, and WiFi.There are many kinds of food, and I think the quality is more than adequate considering the price.

No complaints❗❗❗I use it all year round. There are a lot of good things about it, but yeah, it's beautiful again when it's covered in snow. Also, as others have mentioned, the miso soup is exquisite.I only go to stay overnight just to try this miso soup (lol)

A peaceful old folk house. A place where you can see Mt. Asama clearly. The food is delicious. I feel relaxed. About 20 minutes by car to Karuizawa.
